Chapter 10 - bear fight

The bear was sleeping in side a rocky hill cave which wasn't too deep just enough to protect the bear from the rain , so maybe it was a temporary shelter.

Anyways the two centipedes have gotten better at fighting and planning their next steps, hence that's what they did.

'Where should the surprise attack be?' he asked

'The beast is huge compared to us and stronger than us, so any common poison strike won't do' she analyzed

'Furry beast like this one usually fight their opponents using smell and sight' he continued

'Here's a plan. What if you destroy it's nose fast while it sleeps and maybe try and an eye out while at it. I on the other hand go to the ceiling and drop on it's head take out it's eyes when it wakes.' she offered

'Good idea, let's go with that'

The male approached the face of the bear, that was facing towards the depths of the cave, got in front of the nose and regurgitated aiming in the nostrils; without waiting to see the result, he lunged forward targeting the eye.

Centimeters away from the eye the bear woke, opening it's eyelids. It didn't have time to react to him clawing it's eye thus he succeeded.

He run away immediately after and gained distance.

The bear got up roared loudly, sneezed because of the stomach acid in the nose, which is highly acidic due to his bad eating habits, stood at it's hind legs and searched for him.

He had already stealthily escaped towards the cave entrance.

The bear with a melted nose and one eye couldn't find him turned around and still slightly disoriented had trouble locating him fast.

The bears head when standing was pretty close to the celling, making it easier for the female centipede to not miss the eye of the bear.

Lunging forward the female centipede hit the mark blinding the bear.

Out of nowhere the bear caught fire causing the centipede to leap of.

Now they where in a predicament, they don't know what's happening to the beast.

The bear sneezed again, with the sneeze a big glob of blood flew of the nostrils hitting the ground causing it to sizzle. Then the bear started wailing everywhere, maybe hopping to kill them.

This continued for fifteen minutes and finally the bear was extinguished and shat down breathing heavily.

The bear had no scorch marks, only the wounds on the snout and the damaged eyes.

Without waiting they started biting and clawing then dodging, employing hit and run tactics, so they can avoid the reactionary attacks of the bear.

After many hits, the beast fell, generating tremors upon slamming on the floor.

Now they had enough food for at least a month, maybe more.

They can rest and mend the burns of the female without worrying about it.
