"Good Morning CEO Bai, Morning Miss Chen", Mian greeted.
"Morning Mian", Bai Zhi replied while Chen Lihua just nodded her head in response.
"Mian, have all the necessary arrangements been made for the function tomorrow", Bai Zhi asked her secretary on the way to her office
"Yes ma'am, all the arrangements have been made. We have invited all of our shareholders, partners and investors. The artists that are going to perform have also been briefed"
"Everything is ready", Mian said.
"Alright then you can continue your work", Bai Zhi said and entered the office with Chen Lihua following behind her
"Mom, you still haven't told me why you are so eager to hand over the company to me" Chen Lihua said and took a seat opposite her mother.
"Its because I know you are capable of handling the company Lihua. Just don't disappoint me" Bai Zhi said
"I won't mom, but what are you going to do once you have resigned".
"I will spend my retirement visiting all those places I have always wanted to see, I will enjoy the rest of my life living in your father's memories", Bai Zhi said looking out of the window.
"You should go to your office, as from tomorrow onwards this one will be yours. I want to spend my last day in this office alone", Bai Zhi
"Okay mom", Chen Lihua said and left.
"Good morning ma'am", Secretary Qin Lifei stood up from her chair to greet Chen Lihua, Chen Lihua nodded and opened her office door while Qin Lifei followed behind her
"Bring me the important documents and send a message to Director Zhang regarding our investment in his next movie"
"Tell him we will invest 30million yuan but I want a thirty percent partnership in the movie also our top actress Veronica Lu must be casted as the female lead"
"If he agrees we can sign the contract" Chen Lihua said sitting in her office
"Sure ma I will get it done right now", Lifei said and left her boss's office.
Chen Lihua spent the rest of the day working on documents and only left late in the evening
She was about going to bed that night when she received a call from her best friend
"Hello Yurin" Chen Lihua said to the receiver
"Lihua, tomorrow is your handing over party right. Its such an important day for you but your mom didn't allow an invitation to be sent to me".
"I am your best friend I should be there right",
"Who said you needed an invitation to be there. Just dress up and come there tomorrow. I will be expecting you", Lihua said smiling
"Thank you Lihua Goodnight" Xie Yurin said
"Goodnight", Lihua said and hung up the call.
Diamond Hotel 10:00 pm
"Good evening Director Su, you still look as young as ever. It makes women like me feel jealous", Bai Zhi said to a pot bellied middle aged man earning a huge laugh from him
"Aish... don't flatter me President Bai you look more youthful than me people wouldn't believe you are already in your fifties", The Director said laughing
"Aaaah", Bai Zhi laughed.
"I watched your last movie, what a masterpiece, no wonder it was a hit" Bai Zhi said to the man.
"Aah, it all thanks to the lessons we learn from veterans like you", The director said and Bai Zhi laughed more
"Alright then but please do enjoy the party" Bai Zhi said and left to greet the other guests.
A few minutes later Chen Lihua entered the hall and all eyes turned to look at her
"So beautiful",
"She is so graceful and elegant"
"The New president of Paradise Entertainment Agency"
Chen Lihua dressed in a turquoise blue gown with silver stiletto heels and diamond jewelries gracefully walked to the stage to stand beside her mother,
"Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Its now time for the event for which we are all gathered here tonight" Bai Zhi said to the microphone.
"Please welcome my daughter and the new President of Paradise Entertainment Agency Chen Lihua", Bai Zhi said and the whole hall resounded with applause
"This was my late husband's dream and I am glad it is coming through today"
"I hope that all of you will help me support her and Paradise Entertainment like you did my husband and I. Please enjoy the evening" she concluded and stepped down the stage with Chen Lihua. The two of them went around greeting the guests until the function finally ended a few hours later.
When they got home later that night Bai Zhi called her daughter to her room
"Lihua these are all of our property papers. The company, the house and our other properties", Bai Zhi said handing over some documents to Chen Lihua "Paradise Entertainment is your father's blood, tears and sweat Lihua and it was his dream to hand it over to you when you clock twenty one".
"He couldn't live long enough to fulfill it but I am glad I was able to fulfill it for him. Take care of the company Lihua, cherish it like your father did"
"Mom why are you saying all this, you are just going on a long trip why does it seem like you won't come back"
"Silly you are thinking too much, I am just telling you what to do in my absence, Promise me you will take care of the company and yourself", Bai Zhi said
"I will mom, I promise", Chen Lihua replied
"That's all I want to hear. Goodnight my dear, I am tired, I want to get some rest now. I have a long flight tomorrow",
"Alright mom", Chen Lihua said and left her mother's room.
After she left Bai Zhi spent a long time looking at the night sky
"Chen Yufan, our daughter will be okay right", she asked into starry night.

The next morning, after Chen Lihua saw her mother off at the airport she went to the office.
She was at the office signing some documents that day when she heard a devastating news on the television
"Plane G20543 that left China at eleven am today going to Germany crashed on the way and all the passengers and staffs in that plane died".
Chen Lihua ran straight to the Airport that day but all she got was her mother's ring and half burnt body, the only family member she had left was no more.
After her mothers funeral a few days later, Chen Lihua locked herself up in her room and wouldn't come out no matter what anyone said, she cried for the whole day and went back to her parents grave early in the morning the next day, Chen Lihua sat in front of her parents graves that were right beside each other, she sat motionlessly and cried in the heavy rain for hours.
