Three years later
"Get the documents Lifei and tell Mian to finalize the appointment with Director Jiren. I will meet him tommorow", Chen Lihua said coldly and expressionlessly.
"Sure President Chen", Qin Lifei said and walked out of the office.
After she left Chen Lihua stood up from her chair and looked up at the sky from the ceiling to floor window in her office.
24 year old Chen Lihua had become a ruthless, dangerous and cunning woman. After her mother's death three years ago she became an emotionless, and cold hearted woman everyone called the Devil. She single handedly brought Paradise Entertainment to the top of the chart and made it China's Largest Entertainment Agency producing the best artists all over the country, within three years she became one of the most influential women in China.
Wealthy, Cold and Powerfu, she was strict, decisive and feared by everyone in the entertainment industry. In the last three years Chen Lihua almost gave up on life after her mother's death, the only things that kept her sane were her two best friends, and Paradise Entertainment.
In the midst of her thoughts, her secretaries came into her office
"President Chen, we have handled all the calls and the PR team have also shut down the news regarding Su Yu's scandal ", Mian reported looking all professional and Chen Lihua turned to look at them.
"Good I hope it doesn't repeat itself and arrange a press Conference for Su Yu, he should explain himself to his fans", Chen Lihua said and went back to sit on her chair
"Yes President Chen, I will take care of that", Mian said and made a note on her tablet.
"Where are the documents for the land I asked you to purchase in Yangong District, Lifei", Chen Lihua said and Lifei looked uncomfortably at her before replying
"We haven't been able to purchase the land President, the owner has refused to sell it no matter the amount we propose", Lifei said feeling scared under Chen Lihua's cold and oppressing aura, they could never get used to it despite working with her for so long.
"So are you still negotiating with him", Chen Lihua asked
"Yes President", Lifei replied and Chen Lihua raised her head to look at her
"Till when will you keep on negotiating?", she asked in her usual cold and indifferent voice,
"If he refuses to sell it force him to, I want that land at all cost", Chen Lihua said lazily and the two secretaries looked at each other "their boss has always been ruthless".
"Yes boss, we will do the needful", Lifei said and Chen Lihua dismissed them. After they left her phone rang and she picked it up after checking the caller ID
"Mo Ting", she said lazily to the receiver
"Lihua, are you still in the office" Mo Ting asked excitedly buttoning his shirt, he threw few bundles of cash on the woman on the bed whom he had just slept with and went to the bathroom for a shower with his phone still in his ears.
"Yes I have some important documents to take care of", Chen Lihua replied without a change in her expression
"Can we go for dinner tonight and please don't refuse. I am your fiancee Lihua but you hardly spend time with me", Mo Ting complained in a cute voice
"Sometimes I feel like you are dating your work rather than me"
Chen Lihua thought for a minute before replying
"Okay. I will meet you at our favorite restaurant by 9pm",
"Thank you Lihua, I love you", Mo Ting said and hung up the call without waiting for a reply, he knew Chen Lihua wouldn't return the confession, in their five years of relationship Chen Lihua has never once said she loved him "But who cares he was interested in her money not her but her body would be a nice interest as well",
"I really can't wait to have that girl laid and we haven't even kissed let alone have s**, so annoying", Mo Ting thought opening the shower tap.
At 8:40 pm, Chen Lihua picked up her coat and car keys and left her office, the whole building was eerie silent but she was used to it she was always the last person to leave the office everyday. She got to the parking lot downstairs, got in her car and drove out of the building to Diamond Diner, it was the three friends favorite restaurant because of their mouthwatering food and delicacies and it was a twenty minutes ride from her office.
Twenty minutes later she entered the restaurant and went to their private room on the fifth floor, she looked at her watch and it was 9:00 clock on the dot, she was right on time, she opened the door and entered
"Hey" she said to the handsome man in dark blue suit sitting in the room and Mo Ting smiled at her and stood up to pull out her chair like a true gentleman.
Chen Lihua was dressed in black pants with white shirt she wore a black and white striped blazers to match and white stilleto heels. She walked towards him to sit on the stretched out chair
"Thank you", she said to Mo Ting and he sat back in his chair smiling at her
"How was work", he asked trying to start a conversation
"Nice", Chen Lihua replied, "Did you hear from Yurin, when is she coming back",
"She will be back in two days at the most, the shoot got delayed", Mo Ting replied.
"My grandpa's birthday banquet is in a weeks time and he specially asked for you to be there" he informed her
"Okay, It been long I saw Master Mo, I will get him a nice gift", Chen Lihua said with a smile and they both laughed lightly. The waiter came in the midst of their banter and took their orders.
"Lihua when do you think we should get married. We have been engaged for two years", Mo Ting said in the middle of their dinner and Lihua raised her head up to look at him, she dropped her spoon and looked at him calmly
"Mo Ting can't we continue like this for a few more years, I am not ready for marriage now.... I need more time", Chen Lihua replied
"Are you not sure about ...me anymore", Mo Ting asked looking at her worriedly
"Its not that Mo Ting, I am just not ready", Chen Lihua said looking at him
"Okay", Mo Ting replied and continued his meal.
"Damn, why does this girl keep on refusing why can't we get married now and my mom won't let me have peace at home, she keeps on ranting about me marrying Chen Lihua and here Chen Lihua refuses to get married to me and Yurin is also against this marriage. I am the one stuck in the middle here",
"Mo Ting", Chen Lihua called and Mo Ting snapped out of his thoughts
"Yes",
"The documents you brought to me two days ago", Chen Lihua said and Mo Ting heart skipped a beat
"Oh no did she see the papers in the middle of those files, I thought my secretary said he took it back from her. I am doomed"
"Lihua the documents, its not..."
"Yes I already signed the documents, I signed them last night but I was really tired and I signed them in a hurry, I asked Mian to pass them to your office you should check and see if there are any mistakes with the signatures", Chen Lihua said and Mo Ting looked at her stunned
"You signed all the documents, everything in the files", he asked confusedly and Chen Lihua nodded
"Oh I see, did you read them",
"No I didn't, you said it was the contract of the new artists and you already reviewed it right so I didn't bother reading them, should I have", Chen Lihua asked wondering why he was behaving so strangely.
"No its okay, you didn't need to read them", "I mean it wasn't necessary since I already reviewed everything and its perfect".
"I was at the shooting of our new movie today so I wasn't at the office. I will check the documents tomorrow and notify you of any mistakes", Mo Ting said grinning widely and Chen Lihua looked at his weird smile for a while before nodding and they both continued their meal.
"Wow, she signed all those documents this is excellent news its infact the best news of my life. I have to inform Yurin", Mo Ting thought happily and looked up at Chen Lihua.
"Are you done Lihua",
"Yes I am we should get going", Chen Lihua said and picked up her handbag, they paid and both walked out of the restaurant.
"Let me drop you home Lihua" Mo Ting offered
"Don't worry Mo Ting, I came with my car" Chen Lihua replied taking out her car keys. Mo Ting walked her to her car and watched her drive off before entering his car and driving off as well.
