Zena's book collection was astonishing, you could think of a book and it would be there. the room itself wasn't dull at all, colors struck Ethan's eyes as he walked in with his group.
"Welcome, I'm assuming you got Nico's message?" Lyandrey broke the silence.
"We did yes" replied Crystal, her eyes couldn't focus on one thing, everything was in so much details you could barely look away.
Lyandrey's eyes locked into the group, it felt like she was watching them all at the same time.
"My intent was to talk about your future in this tower, I've heard you three wanted to stay here for 365 days, so one year of training on our grounds, is that still correct?" Lyandrey's tone was calm as usual, even warm, you could sense it wasn't Zena using the body.
"Yes, that is correct" said Ethan.
"I'm glad you want to experience everything this Tower has to offer, but you should know few things before we move on with the process" replied Lyandrey as she stood up and stood in front of them.
"Your statuses will be 'Guests' and you will be treated like one. each and every one of you will be attending afternoon trainings to see if you have any magical potentials and last but not least all of you will be assigned a book guide that talks about everyone's magical abilities and if they have them or not."
Lyandrey's speech was full of fresh information that caused Ethan to stare at her while she was still speaking.
"Ethan, I feel like you want to ask me a question?" Lyandrey kept speaking.
"Yes, Who's Nico?" Ethan replied swiftly.
"He's my right hand, person that is in charge of everyone's behaviours." that was not the reply Ethan wanted, he wanted to know where was he from, how did he come here?
Crystal and Claire stood very close to each other and kept mumbling something to each other's ears as if Lyandrey couldn't hear them from another room.
"Alright then, here are the papers you three have to sign, after that all of you will be free to go"
As Lyandrey put the papers down Ethan couldn't help but analyze the writing, it was not a print or anything official, it looked like the text didn't hold much power.
Claire hesitated, her hands twitched but she still put her signature, while Ethan and Crystal followed.
their hands started buzzing, it felt like their hands been in the ocean for hours, the ink that was used for the signature quickly spread to their hands, crossing their veins like a hungry snake, but they didn't feel pain.
Ethan panicked, closing his eyes but after pushing his fears away he saw a crow symbol, exact symbol he saw almost everywhere in this building.
"The crow symbol in your wrists will be there forever, meaning that you all have been a member to this tower" Lyandrey spoke.
"Thank you once again and now please go back to your chambers" Lyandrey sat down, sighed and opened a book while Ethan's eyes were fixed to the tattoo he just got.
"That was weird? they weren't rude at all, I'm assuming that was Zena's wife that was speaking?" Crystal asked while walking towards her chambers.
"Yes, that was most likely her" replied Ethan.
As they entered their chambers they saw three perfectly crafted books sitting at the top of the table, the cover was dipped in gold, in the middle there was a text 'Find Your Magic'
"Oh great, a Zodiac book from 1967" Crystal's sarcastic tone woke Claire's woke her up from the zoning.
"Claire? are you even listening?" Crystal kept going.
"Yes, sorry, information given by her was too much, I'm still processing" Claire replied as she opened the book.
"Step one, find your channeling and identify if you have the ability to channel at all." what does this even mean? does it come with a translator as well? Claire sighed.
"You skipped seven pages, that's like watching a sequal without watching the first movie. come on." Ethan replied as he sat down with the book resting in his hands.
"I hope this book talks about Gems in some way or we have to start working on our plan" Ethan kept going.
"Let's just focus on reading first, find out what channeling is, but also let's not forget the fact that we are not mages or whatever they call it." Claire replied.
"We don't know that yet, what if we are?" Crystal's reply was sharp, but also random, since it was her first time trying to understand the Tower.
