Chapter 13 - Great group.

June 20, 2033.

Lucia asked Viktor to help Melissa and her family level up, but Viktor only agreed to help Melissa.

Also, he told his sister that Melissa should be the one to be in charge of helping his other friends level up, since he didn't want to delay his family's leveling up.

But right now they decided not to take Melissa with them, as she was going to be a nuisance and this territory, although close to the apartment they live in, is new to the family and they don't know how densely populated with monsters it was.

Since they were already improving their stats with level-up, the family was better off exploring a new area, and getting Melissa to fight here would only put her at risk.

Benjamin also asked that on the way to Lucia and Viktor's house, they would pass by his uncles' house, where his entire family was.

Viktor looked at his sister and said that they shouldn't bring so many people. But finally, his sister insisted since she got along well with Benjamin's family and because she knew that Benjamin loved his family very much.

Viktor told Benjamin that if he wanted to save them, he himself should take care of his family, not involve his own.

Benjamin just looked down, he often teased Viktor with little things but now, he felt he regretted that.

Finally, under his sister's complaints, Viktor decided to help Benjamin's family.

Adding Benjamin's family; which were 4 people, Azul's family; which were 3 and Jessie, who was alone and didn't say anything to help any of her family members, there were 8 people here.

They knew that Jessie had fallen out with her family, so they didn't ask her about them.

Viktor gained a significant amount of experience, being in the middle of level 4. Also, his family easily climbed up to level 3. In fact, his family had almost reached level 4.

With Viktor's level 3 system, they could better customize the party function.

They decided to customize the experience gained and give it 80% to Viktor.

They also got the chance to move further away from the different members of the party(compared to the previous level of the system) and continue gaining experience.

The family also gave him the major part of the Scoin, so he could buy level one of the system's investments. This was useful for him, as the system still didn't sell warrior skills, and his mana was useless.

Although he soon believed he would be able to gain skills, the system investments still seemed useful.

It could even be exchanged for food, which in fact, they realized was much more expensive to buy in the store than with mana.

When they returned all of Lucia's friends stayed at Melissa's house, as Viktor's family was not that big and Viktor didn't want them to be around if there is no need.

What was worrisome with such a group was that they needed food.

So Viktor and his family decided to go to the supermarket again. They hoped it hadn't been completely emptied by other survivors.

On the way, they decided to bring Melissa, who was carrying a large kitchen knife for hunting.

What surprised Viktor was that she decided to choose the assassin class in the future. Instead of choosing mage, Lucia didn't see it as strange, as her friend was very good at sports and was quite agile.

They only helped her to be level 2, Viktor after this, told her to manage to hunt alone or with her family, other groups of zombies or lone zombies. He was not going to give her his experience anymore.

So Melissa tried to hunt alone but without getting too separated from Viktor's group while they were on their way to the supermarket.

At the supermarket, they had a brief conflict, as someone came out of a building upon seeing them and angrily told them that this was their supermarket.

The supermarket had glass doors, so he didn't want to live there. In fact, these doors were already shattered, but he still owned the place, and having his food taken away seemed unfair to him.

Although Viktor's family seemed to give in and understand the man, wanting to negotiate to take only the fresh food that the owner could not keep, Viktor insisted on taking whatever they wanted.

He said that the owner of a supermarket would probably have plenty of food and would probably also have his house full of stuff, which would be enough for him.

"And even if he doesn't have enough, it's not our problem. We cleared this place of the zombies, without us "the owner" wouldn't be able to get to this place, so it's only fair that we take what we can."

"This place is full too, but surely that's because no one was able to clear out the zombies and loot the food."

"I don't think just one person has much to do with all this.

"Least of all one person who can't protect his resources." Viktor spoke firmly.

Lucia was a little hesitant and felt bad about making this decision.

Emma was completely against it, considering it immoral, as it was still someone else's possession. But she failed to convince Viktor, who insisted that they had to be strong now, not give in to other people.

He looked at the owner coldly and sensed the owner's hostility, but still decided to take the food.

The owner resigned himself to seeing his ax stained with blood and the dead zombies.

They loaded 3 supermarket carts full of food, taking abundant quantities.

Viktor decided to leave 2 at Melissa's house and one for them, although his sister asked him to give Melissa's group all 3. But he didn't budge.

When they returned the family had already reached level 4.
