It's been 3 months since this world changed, it still has to be decided whether it's for better or worse. Gods and demons are real and they are back in this world from almost every religion you could think of, some of them still haven't shown themselves but some of them came back to guide humanity, at least what they are saying but people are still confused on what to believe.
"Mom, I am going out with friends I'll be home late."
Its been a few months since I figured out these powers, I have been going to this abandoned factory alone to practice with my power, and since then I figured out that I have telekinetic powers like moving things with my mind, but the bigger problem is whenever I stay close to people for a long time they start to get sick it only happens till I am with them, the reason behind that could be this power, that they are not only what they seem, so I am trying to figure out the origin of these power I can't stay away from people my whole life, but the question in my mind like where this power comes from? does it have any connection with dreams that I am having since that night or does it have something to do with these gods and demons?
"What is with this power, every time I use it for more than 4 minutes I get very tired and feel very sick am I not supposed to use it, or do I need to train with it more?"
it's not like I want to be a hero or something but if these powers will make me stay away from my family or supposedly future girlfriend, I need to learn to control them or get rid of them altogether. Maybe I should take someone's help for this it is definitely not possible to understand it on my own.
In some other realm
All the kings of gods were getting all together for a meeting these entities were powerful on their own like from greek mythology Hercules, Norse mythology Odin, Hindu mythology Indra and from Japanese mythology Omni-King Izanagi and their few subordinates.
"why are we gathering here like this, I don't understand the meaning of this, we are finally free from imprisonment, we should enjoy it."
Thor one of the Norse gods and the son of Odin said that with a confused face to everyone.
"Maybe it doesn't agitate you but we still want to know who did imprison us in that stone? and now the world has changed so much in these 5000 years even though humans still need our guidance and protection, especially when the demons are also running wild in that realm."
"Tell me something Hercules who made you in charge of us, you are not even the king of gods yet your father died in the last battle with the evil king right before our imprisonment"
Odin said that with contempt within his eyes, he still has resentment for Hercules's father Zeus former king of Olympians because he was the first one to rebel against the evil king which brought a lot of casualties among gods.
"I do not care whether I am king or not but we have to bring the world to balance and we have to work together as for some reason, not all the gods got free from stone."
Hercules knew that he had to convince other gods to work together but the problem was he wasn't acknowledged as a king yet and the other gods who were there were also the king of their own gods and people, they were not going to take orders from anybody, the only person who can give order to the kings was the lord ruler of all the realms but now the position was vacant.
"The reason why not all gods did not get free is simple, the stone in which we were imprisoned absorbs all the divine power from the realms, so the gods with lower ranks and the gods who have fulfilled their purpose were not able to maintain their human vessel because of lack of power and they cease to exist. so the first problem to solve should be who will be the next Lord ruler of the realm?"
Lord Izanagi explained it with a serious face, he is also one of the oldest gods in the world. He knew that the remaining group of gods will have to face the problem of co-existence with humans and if there is no higher authority the gods will do whatever they want.
"I agree with Izanagi, we need to take care of this problem first, so for that I would like to elect myself as one of the candidates for the ruler of the realms."
Lord Indra said that while puffing out his chest, but all the gods present there wanted to be the candidate.
"If we are sitting arguing who is going to rule here, there might not be anything left to rule over, who will take care of the demons, who is going to calm the chaos and the confusion humanity is feeling right now, all of us announced our return to this world in such a godly manner, but only few of us are protecting the humans now and no one else wants to take responsibility for them?"
"You are too young to understand the way of gods Zeus's son, gods do not interfere in the human affair those were the rules and those nameless gods, who fighting deamons like, what they call them these days? yes!! superhero are just hoping to get acknowledged by humans as their savior this just their desperate attempt to earn a tittle."
Odin had already made up his mind to not to listen to Hercules, all of them just wanted to become the highest ranking god.
"Fine then, I declare that all the kings and queen of gods and goddess are eligible for the positon of Lord ruler of the realms and it shall be decided by voting it will be held on six months from now, our objective will be to bring peace and calm into this world and voting will be on that basic. Is there anyone who objects to this?"
Goddess Hera said calmly walking towards where all the gods were sitting, Hera was the stepmother of the Hercules also known for her wisdom, everybody there knew that it will be hard for them to argue with this logic, so every god agreed to the terms and left without discussing the problem that the world was facing.
In India
I hope this professor that I am meeting may have the answer about my powers, Dr. Swan Jhonson from Stanford University has been researching mythology for a long time and won numerous awards, I only googled it few times before I saw that he has lectured in one of the college in Banglore,India. I came here hoping to meet with him, I told my family that I have an interview for a job, think the lecture is about to be over.
"Dr. Swan, hello! I am Jay, I have sent you a few videos in the e-mail about a certain problems that I was having. I was hoping you may be able to help me with them."
"Oh my god!! you are telling me me that the video was real, I thought someone was pranking me for fun. Let's find someplace with privacy"
Dr. Swan and I went back to his hotel room, I tried to maintain distance between Dr. and me so that he wouldn't feel sick, Dr. was in his 40s with grey hair and a lot more talkative than he looked. When I showed him my power by moving the night lamp from the bedside stand he was in a state of shock for at least 30 seconds.
"Holy shit!! Have you told anyone about this?"
"You are the first person that I have shared with."
"You should come with me to States we need to run tests on you, by the looks of it you are generating some kind of radiation"
"What!!! why do you think that?"
"Since you entered the room the temperature has gotten a lot hot even though the air conditioning is running at 18 degrees also there is the fact that people get sick near you and I don't mean that in a metaphorical way."
"If that's it then how will I travel to the U.S.A., won't people be in danger if I go near them, and what about my family what will I tell them"
"I'll take care of the transport you take care of the family."
With that, even I knew that I have no other choice but to take help from the Dr. I told my family that I have Job in the U.S. in some company and they are paying me well, but the tears of happiness from my family's eyes made me feel like an ass for lying to them but it was good for them to stay away from me at least till I figure out how to control my powers.
