Despite Draven being in the same grade as Rina, they were placed in different classes.
On there first day of school, Rina was treated like royalty mostly because her father was the mayor of Birmingham city.
Draven on the other was treated more like a distant relative of the Coders as such he got little to no special attention.
The school they enrolled in, Payton Scholar Elementary School was a prestigious school were only kids of important people attended.
Children of councilors, investors, chief executive officers and the like all went to that school.
Unlike other ordinary mayors, master Syven managed to accumulated a lot of wealth through out his reign as mayor.
Mayor Coder's net worth was about 3 billion pounds which was way higher than what even the prime minister of England was worth.
As such Rina was in a league of her own, even among the other rich kids who attended the school. This attracted both adoration and envy towards Rina.
...
4pm at Payton Scholar Elementary....
The school bell rung which signaled the end of the school day. Butlers and drivers of sort lined put to pick the children.
"Come on Rina what are you waiting for let's go" Rina's friend Camila stood at the class door.
"Yeah am coming just need to get my bag and science textbook." Rina answered as she put her things together.
She got up to get her textbook on the book shelf and noticed something:
"That's weird... I swear I put my science book here but I can see it anywhere" Rina wondered as she looked through the shelves on the book shelf.
"Maybe someone took it by mistake" Camila walked towards Rina to help her friend look.
"I don't think so. My book has my name engraved on since it was custom made so i doubt someone could have taken it by mistake." Rina continued looking.
"Hey Rina what are you doing the drive is already park outside" Draven walked in Rina's classroom.
"Hi Draven" Camila turned around to greet Draven.
"Hey" Draven replied
"Rina can't find her science textbook so we're looking for it. I think someone took it by mistake."
"Another one of your books has gone missing? This is the 5th one this month" Draven asked.
"Yeah I know. They keep going missing just before knocking off time. The other time I did manage to find it outside but it had some pages ripped out of it" Rina's face looked worried.
"Someone's messing with you Rina" Draven's expression became stern.
"Messing with her? I don't think so. Everyone loves and adores Rina so I don't think anyone would do anything to hurt her" Camila refuted Draven.
"Let's just go home. I'll tell my mom to get me a new one." Rina got her bag.
...
In the car, on the way back home.....
"Dravy? Can you not tell my dad about missing book. He'd get upset with my teacher if he knew my books kept going messing on her watch"
"Wasn't planning on. There no need to involve mas- I mean uncle Syven with such small matters" Draven replied as he look out the car window.
"Thanks Dravy" Rina smiled.
Ever since master Syven made Draven's role in the Coder family clear, Draven locked his own emotions and will.
For Draven protecting Rina wasn't because he cared about her. It was only because master Syven ordered him to do so.
The kids got back at the Coder mansion.
As soon as the car parked, Rina's two attendants who were assigned to her ever since she was a baby came to receive her.
"Welcome back lady Rina" the maids greeted her.
"Yeah hey. Uhmm where's my mom I want ask her something?" Rina asked.
"She's in the lounge getting her nails done but first at least take off your uniform lady Rina so we can properly put it away" one of the maids answered.
"I'll do that later" Rina run off inside the mansion leave bag in the car.
"Lady Rina please wait" the other maid called.
Draven got his and Rina's bag from the car and started heading inside as well.
"Draven could you make sure Rina takes off her uniform. You know she mostly listens to you" the maid asked.
Draven looked back at the maids:
"Looking after Rina is your job not mine. Am only in charge of her at school, anything to do with her at home is your duty."
"Please Draven just this once, lady Miku will snap at us if Rina's uniform isn't properly put away" the maid pleaded.
Sigh*
"Fine I'll try but don't make this a habit" Draven answered as he walked away.
"Goodness when did that boy become so cold" the maid sighed.
"Can you blame him, his own uncle treats him like a tool as a result Draven closed off his heart"
"Poor thing. Anyway let's go back inside" the maids went back inside.
....
Later that evening....
Draven was in his and Albert's room doing his homework.
Despite what master Syven told him about his reason for being in school, Draven still took school very seriously. He was at the top of his class when it came to good grades.
The door opened and Albert walked in:
"If your done with your homework dinner is ready."
"Am almost done. Hey Albert can I borrow one of your belts? I've got a school project that requires one tomorrow" Draven asked.
"If it's for school you can" Albert looked confused.
"Thanks I'll return it after school tomorrow."
...
The next day at school....
Tommy, a boy who was in Rina's class came up to Rina's table:
"Hey Rina I heard you lost your book again yesterday just how careless can you be" he smirked.
"Give Rina a break Tommy it's not her fault someone took her book" Camila defend Rina.
Tommy had a smug look on his face clearly amused by Rina's misfortune:
"Did you go crying to your mayor daddy again to buy you another expensive book huh. I can't believe mayor Coder has such a careless daughter."
Rina had her head down as Tommy kept mocking her.
At the classroom door, Draven watched the whole Ordeal play out.
Observing from a distance to see how each and every kid in Rina class reacted her being mocked by Tommy.
Draven saw Rina's home room teacher coming down the hallway:
"Time to go. I'll sort this out at the end of the day" Draven whispered to himself as he walked away.
...
4pm, the bell rung...
Tommy's friends came to his table:
"Hey Tommy lets get going. Remember we're coming to your place to play dragon slayer on you're new console"
"Yeah yeah just hold on" Tommy packed his stuff in his bag.
As he was packing, a note fell out of one of his books.
"Hey a note fell out of your book" One of Tommy's friends Joe, bended over as he picked it up.
"Give it to me." Tommy grabbed the note."Huh it's got hearts on it."
"Open it maybe it's a love letter hahaha" Tommy's other friend laughed.
"Shut up" Tommy opened it.
It read:
>"Hi Tommy this is Jennifer. I've got some I want tell you. So please come behind the gymnasium after school"<
Joe suddenly got exited after hearing who it was from:
"I know her Tommy, she's Jennifer daughter of the air force commander and one of the prettiest girls in the 2nd grade."
Tommy's heart start racing.
"What are you waiting for....go meet her!" Joe shouted.
"O-okay but you guys should come with me just in case" Tommy nervously replied.
"Yeah yeah let's go" the boys quickly made their way to the back of the gymnasium.
Behind the gymnasium....
Tommy and his friend eagerly waited for Jennifer to show up.
"So It wasn't just Tommy Garfield but also his little friends too huh" Draven slowly walked behind the boys with a belt in his hand.
The boys turned around to see who it was:
"Who the heck are you?" Tommy asked.
Draven kept walking towards them with a cold look in his eyes:
"Am your executioner"...
