"Come in." Rhyme said.
Soon, I saw the figure of Rustler entering the room. Heavens! How I wish I couldn't see him!
"Hey, bro." Rhyme called him out happily. I just gave him a awkward smile and a small 'Hello'. He ignored me anyway.
"Dinner is ready. You can come down." He said as his gaze softened while looking at Rhyme. His eyes were full of warmth. Rustler is actually a very proctective brother. I found out from the novel. He would always protect his sister and he would spoil her.
"Okay." Rhyme said. She was looking so adorable. I felt like pulling her cheeks. She stood up and pulled my arms. I laughed softly and stood up. Rustler had already left. We went downwards slowly.
While walking down the stairs I immediately recognized Pearl and Rustler's grandfather sitting with my family and Rustler's parents in the dinning hall. Rhyme immediately frowned after seeing Pearl on the table.
Pearl was sitting right next to Edwards and left to Rustler. He is not my grandfather and I am sure he doesn't like me at all. So why should I bother calling him grandfather?
The environment was rather awkward. When we reached there, I greeted Edwards and Pearl. And quickly sat next to the seat which was empty besides my mom's.
The dinner was served. And it looked mouthwatering. God knows how much trouble I had controlling myself by not eating at first.
Finally, after some time all of the people started eating. I quickly started eating. It was too good. I nearly cried. So good food. Although mother cooks great good but this was too good. How can food taste so heavenly?
I heard my parents and Rustler's parents chatting. But I was too busy eating. And I didn't feel like joining their conversation. I peeped at Rhyme for a while and she was looking at me amused. I was confused.
"Sister Grace, did you like the food?" She asked me.
I nodded my head. "Yes, it is very good." I answered her. Mother was smiling at me and Sean was also amused. Why are they looking at me like this?
I just ignored them and continued eating. Soon I finished eating and wiped my mouth with napkins. Even the napkins looked expensive and were very soft. Very different from normal ones.
After I finished I excused myself and went to search for a toilet. After searching for whole ten minutes I found the toilet. I entered. The toilet also looked so good. With hand dryer and all. Rich people's life. They enjoy a luxurious life.
Soon I exited the toilet but I found myself lost. Anyways I tried to find a way towards the living room. I was walking when I spotted Edwards. What is this old man doing here?
I smiled at him anyways. He nodded and gestured me to come towards him. So I went towards him. I wonder what he is upto.
"You. You should give up thinking about entering in the Kings Household." He said firmly in a serious tone. The fudge? Who is even thinking of entering your lousy Kings Household? I don't want it.
"I think Mr. Kings you are misunderstanding something." I said in a soft voice keeping myself calm.
"I will not fall under your tricks. You better stop these petty tricks. I know what kind of person you are." He said again. Is this old man mad? What the actual fudge? I was so mad at him. I decided to man up and confront him.
"Look, Mr.King. If you think I have some bad intentions towards your grandson, then I would like to it break to you that I am not even slightest interested in your grandson. I am not doing any petty tricks and I only came here because we were invited. And what kind of person I am, it is not your place to judge. If you are judging me by those baseless rumors then I cannot do anything. But I think you know it better than anyone else how ridiculous are these kinds of rumors." I told him in a flat boring tone. I admit that I am scared of Rustler but this old man is being too noisy.
"You think I will believe you?" He said again.
"Whether you believe me or not, it is up to you. But do not involve my family in all this mess. And you have already selected Miss Pearl as your granddaughter in law. I am not getting involved in your family." I said. The moment he met Pearl, he had liked her and wanted her to be his granddaughter in law.
He widened his eyes which were full of surprise before going back to normal.
"You better stick to your words." He said narrowing his eyes.
"I would, gladly." I said. Who wants to be your granddaughter in law? You think everybody is obsessed with your wealth. Well reality check. I am not.
I was rather irritated speaking with this old man. So I left searching for living room. Finally I found it and sighed in relief. Pearl was still there. My mother was talking to her smiling. I joined my mother.
I smiled at Pearl and sat properly. I heard my phone ringing. I took out my phone to find Sarah calling. I excused myself and went towards the balcony to attend the call.
"Hey, What's up?" I said.
"Sky is up." She said with a soft chuckle.
"Is it?" I said laughing. And we chatted for a while and I told her that I was in the Kings Mansion for dinner. She was rather surprised but since she never liked Rustler so she just said 'oh' and changed the topic. After that I hanged up the call.
I was leaning on the handle of the balcony admiring the moon. I really love watching the moon. The moon is so beautiful and there were so many stars as well. Some stars were twinkling very brightly while some were dim. There were so planes travelling as well and looked like moving stars. I really love nature.
But suddenly I stiffened as I noticed something.
