I saw an exquisite matte black envelope on the table. I was sure that it was an invitation. I was really confused so I looked at him and found that he was again staring at me which totally crept me out.
"You're accompanying me to a banquet this Sunday. Take this invitation and bring it with you on Sunday. I come and will pick you up." He casually said in his domineering and commanding voice. But I was very shocked. What is going on? How can I be so unlucky? I am now accompanying him to a banquet as his date?
This is really getting really weird. Can I not go? I was just very unhappy.
"What? You're not willing?" He said narrowing his eyes since I was not saying anything. I immediately shook my head.
"No no. I am willing." I gritted my teeth and spoke.
"Then that's good. You may leave now." He said shooing his hand like I was some puppy. I nearly vomited a handful of blood.
"Oh. Okay." I said. Who wants to stay in your office?
I turned around and reached the door.
"Wait." He again called me. I unhappily turned back.
"The Company will send you a dress. Be prepared in that dress." He commanded again.
"Sure," I said and stomped out of his office. My entire mood was pissed off thanks to this invitation.
My face was dark.
"Woah. Woah. Why are you like this?" Max appeared out of nowhere to tease me.
"I just got invited for the upcoming banquet as Boss's date." I said in a gloomy voice.
"That is a good thing. You will get an exposure and you may meet new people." He said sounding exicted. Bro, I don't want to meet new people at all. They all will only bring me trouble. But who will tell him this?
"Alright, I will not overthink this. But why are you here suddenly?" I asked him. His facial expression changed and he looked at me pitifully. I had a bad premonition.

And now I ended up in an old and dusty storeroom. Max told me to help him find a file from the storeroom. But how would I know that this storeroom was so dusty? I am new so nobody told me. And this Company is so good and exquisite. Who would think that their storeroom will be this old and dirty?
And the file that I am searching is not in the bottom rows of the huge bookshelf. So I had to climb a ladder to search that file. I regret agreeing to help Max. But now I can't backout from my words.
I was searching and searching. Finally I found the file. I was happy so I took it out. But the ladder was made of up wood and I accidentally stepped on a nail which was pointed. Since I was not wearing shoes to climb the ladder, I was barefooted. I thought that the shoes may be slippery which can make me fall. But now I really regret.
And now that I pricked my toe from the nail, I lost my balance. So what happened next? Of course I fell. I closed my eyes and was ready for the pain.
But that pain never came. And instead of falling in the hard ground, I landed on strong yet soft arms. I opened my face only to find a familiar face looking at me with those cold eyes. I was shocked. Now that I see his face clearly, I feel that this guy is more handsome. His long eyelashes were fluttering and his skin was so clear without any pores at all. And my eyes went towards his lips. His lips were reddish pink. I was mesmerised. I looked back at his electric blue eyes.
I felt a little awkward. So I blinked my eyes. "Hey, Mr. King? Can you let me go?" I said and he let me go.
I quickly got up and ran fingers through my clothes trying to be less awkward. I looked at him and found that the tip of his ears were red. Is this male lead blushing? +_+
I coughed awkwardly. "Thank you, Mr. King." I said to him. I felt somewhat weird but I felt nothing even when I got close to him.
"What were you doing? What if you got injured?" He said in a angry voice. I kept my head down as I was really scared to look at him.
"I was helping a friend. But I messed up." I said in a low voice. How can I be so clumsy? I was very smooth in my world. What happened to me when I came here?
"Okay, now just clean up the mess and hurry up." He said and left. What is the hurry? Why is he leaving like he is missing a train? He was practically running. I was literally speechless.
I didn't want to but unwillingly I cleaned up the mess. But I kept thinking about how he suddenly came here just in time to save me. This should have been the scene for male and female lead right? Why did this scene became for male lead and villainess? Novel it is!
I quickly cleaned up the mess and left the storeroom being absent-minded thinking about stuffs.
