“Wait—”
“And which type of dare will that be?” Brother cut him off. “Why—”
“It's a dare, Gun. It's not as if there's anything wrong with it.” Max's brother said, and the others supported him. “See, there is nothing improper with this.”
But there is something absolutely wrong with this!
The person I wanted to kiss was my brother. He's the one to whom I want to give my first kiss.
There is no — “Well, it's a dare. If Tap wishes to do that, who am I to stop him?” He shrugged as if there were nothing reprehensible about that.
And that infuriated me more than anything else.
“Fine!” I stood up and sat on a shocked Max's lap.
The boos from those around me and the anger I felt deep within me strengthened my decision to do this.
With my hands around his neck, I lowered my face towards his.
Since my brother doesn't care, I will show him I don't care.
Who knows, I might realize I feel something for Max. There is no telling how badass fate can be, most times.
“Tap?” Max shocked. His were wide, and it seemed like they were about to boggle out of their sockets, should care not to be taken.
“It's just a dare. Don't make it seem more than it is.” I said before I made to kiss him.
Just before my lips can meet his, I was carried up.
“What?” I tried to fight the hold on me, but when I saw it was my brother who held me, I stopped fighting.
“We are leaving!” Without dropping me to the ground, he carried me out of the party, not even mindful of the murmured talks of those around me.
“Let me down, Gun. I'm not a kid. You shouldn't treat me this way!” I made as if I don't prefer his hand on me.
However, I was still angry with what he did. Back then, he made it seem like he doesn't care if his baby boy kisses another boy.
“So you can go back to kiss him?” He scoffed as he carried me out of the house and towards the car.
And he never let me down until he deposited me in the passenger's seat.
“What's your problem? It was just a dare. You don't have to make it sound like something more than that!” I shouted at him when he entered the car.
“Just a dare? You were about to kiss another guy, and you are saying it's merely a dare?”
“Oh, you are distressed because it was another boy?
I bet you wouldn't have minded had it been a girl, right?” I scoffed as I tried to pretend I wasn't feeling hurt.
“I'm not concerned about the gender, baby boy. What I'm concerned about is you! You shouldn't kiss anybody just because of a dare.”
“That's where you got it wrong. Max isn't just anybody. He's a friend. Why are you acting as if he's some sort of stranger?”
“Are you dating him?” Brother demanded in a small voice.
His tone was just too low. I wouldn't have heard what he said had it not strained my ears.
“Why will I do that?” I fold my arms. “I love someone, but not him.”
And there it's already out.
There's no way of taking it back.
“Who's that?” Brother looked murderous as he proposed the question.
“None of your concern. I don't think you need to be knowledgeable about everything about me!”
“Who the bloody hell do you like!” Brother growled in anger with his eyes red.
“None of your concern, the same way who you said you love, is none of my business.
I don't think we owe it to each other to let the other know about it.”
“I'm your brother, and I'm entitled to know everything about you, Tap.”
“Let's go home.” I stubbornly folded my arms and refused to give in to the fire in his eyes.
“Who's he?”
“None of your concern.”
“Who's he, Tap?” This time, his voice was dangerously low.
“None—”
“Who's he?”
“Do you want to know that bad?” I ball my hands to the side as I tried to muster the courage to do what my mind just thought of now.
“Who's he?”
“The one I kiss,” I said before I kissed him.
It was supposed to be a peck, to test the waters.
But it surprised me when his hand wrapped around me as he deepened the kiss.
He made me sit on his lap as he expertly slipped his tongue into my mouth.
The kiss was just the way I heard it was, and much more.
I moaned into the kiss as his tongue swirled around mine. I tightly clung to his neck as his palm moved on my body.
His hands slid into my polo to flick my nipples as he kissed me. He wasn't hurried.
The kiss was slow and sensual. I had to rock my hips on him as I felt myself get harder.
I sought to—
“Gods, Tap!” He pushed me off him.
“Gun?” I tried to reach out to him, but he held a hand up to stop me from speaking.
“This is so erroneous, Tap. It's unacceptable in some ways.”
“Gun—”
“Find a way to go home. I need some space.” He opened the door, and before I can process what was happening, he has already dashed halfway across the enormous compound.
“Gun!" I tried to race after him, but I couldn't catch up to his long strides.
I just stood there and watched him leave without doing anything.
The only thing I could do was to silently sob as I tried to think of how everything went awry.
Just how did things go from feeling so good to falling downhill at the speed of lightning?
Gods.
What did I do wrong?
Why did I kiss him?
I'm such a fool.
I fell to my knees as sobs racked through my body.
