The alarm screamed into her ears making her squeak from her sleep. Dorian opened her eyes and yawned lazily, shutting the disturbing clock off with annoyance.
She rolled over the bed tiredly, wanting to sleep some more but time wasn't buying her idea. She got out of bed hesitantly and rushed to the small bathroom for a quick shower. After bath, she returned to her pink cozy room with a towel drapped over her soft body.
She straightened her long red blonde hair and applied her strawberry shampoo in haste. After this, she slid into a black hoodie and pink sweatpants and applied some nude make_up.
She wasn't normally a fan of make up but there was a bruise on her lower crimson red lips.
The bruise she got from the school bullies_ the fantastic three.
When she was done, she picked up the new converse she got from wall Mart and tried it on. It was outstandingly perfect.
She rushed downstairs and had a quick breakfast.
Dorian was a common person. She lived in carlifornia and worked in a nearby restaurant to earn a pay and with this ; she paid her bills.
Laura_ her best friend helped too. She would buy her food stuff and cereals, stay over at her house to keep her company, tell her endless stories of what she, dorian didn't believe were real.
Laura was her only best friend and companion, all other people didn't like her because she was the school play toy. She was the school nerd. She knew her life was no good since she was born. Nobody typically wanted to be friends with a nerd like her. She really thought her only best friend would ditch her anytime soon, too.
Her life had always been pain filled. The treasure she had and loved most was gone. She was taken away from her brutally. She gave her the reasons to live and face the challenges ahead of her but she thought she wouldn't be able to hold on for long.
Clearing her thoughts, Dorian stepped out of her apartment sharply. The morning breeze blowing past her, brushing some strands of her hair to her face. She huffed in discomfort and adjust her hair as she walked to school.
She doesn't own a car.
Nerds don't own cars.
It was too cold outside and the thick dark hoodie she wore wasn't helping either. Dorian thought she was only scared of going to school to face the bullies again and getting another bruise or preferably, a kick. She sighed and quickened her steps.
She arrived at Madras high school ten minutes after. She quickly push past the crowd to avoid being seen by one of the bullies but luck wasn't smiling at her that morning.
"Oh the nerd decided to come to school today". Darren, one of the handsome bullies said, smirking wildly.
" Oh my, your hair looks beautiful today". the second guy, Louise added with a fake smile on his bright face.
He was teasing her, like no one would ever tell her her hair's beautiful.
"Geez, Louise. Beautiful is an understatement could you find something more suitable?". Darren mocked, giggling unmanly.
" She's no different to a sl*t!". Louise spat in disgust.
The crowd had began to form slowly. Some were laughing and pointing at her while some were expressionless or maybe a glint of sadness and helplessness could be found in their eyes. But none could help, else; they would become a nerd too and no one was really ready to take that risk for someone like her.
The last of the trip walked up to her with a grin on his charming face.
"Hello blue bird. ready for today's show?". He asked with it utmost enthusiasm and mockery. His clean featured absorbed in the early morning sun rays, making his face enchanting as ever. His jet black hair curled up miraculously around his fair neck while some strands rested on his smooth and gorgeous face.
His well shaped nose, pink sexy lips and perfect jaw line giving him an aloof and cold personality. He was snickering now.
"Tanner please...leave me alone" she said weakly. It wasn't going to help, she knew. it would only make matters worse.
Tanner mimicked her tone and laughed loudly, other students joining in. " So stupid if you to think I will" he paused and observed her outfit, his eyes roaming over her. There was a look Dorian couldn't figure out on his angelic looking face.
"What..do..you..mean?". She re_checked her self to see if there was truly something odd about her dressing but there was nothing wrong with it.
"You look exactly like a sl*t, a whore and I really hate to see your face Dorian". he remarked, almost angrily " nobody wants a nerd like you! Jump over a bridge or something, then this world would be Peaceful".
.
Maybe he was right. She was truly a nobody. No one really liked her!
Dorian tried hard to push back the tears that had gathered in her hazel eyes but it came down freely, reminding her of her past, again.
"The nerd is crying , did your poor momma yell at you earlier today?". Tanner shot and everyone laughed at his humor.
If only he knew she had no mother. If only he knew that he was hurting her and opening new wounds than she could bear. If only he knew her mum was the last person she'd ever let anyone talk about; But they couldn't see the pains in her eyes. If only the knew her poor mother was dead and that her father mudered her; maybe they would show Mercy and stop bullying her. if they knew her childhood had always been a huntful memory, she was sure they would not have been doing this, but no one was ready to listen to her, her opinion didn't matter to them no matter how hard she tried to say something. She had to live by it. Dorian thought with tears in her eyes.
