The manticore was a creature from myths and legends before the Portals arrived and made people see that anything can happen but for Sam they were just a nuisance as Sam kept cutting and dismantling the manticore to pieces before they regenerated but after a while Sam saw the manticore's reaction time was slower when it was regenerating but Sam still couldn't deal any damage as all of his attacks where ineffective due to the healing of the manticore before he heard an old raspy voice say in his ears
""why are you fighting as a human? Are you a Human? NO! You are a dragon!""
Sam gritted his teeth as he realized the truth he had told his followers that he was no longer the man he was before he became the dragon master
Sam then transformed and said as he reached eye level with the manticore while envisioning himself covered in armour made from raw metals and stones
"I am not the man I was! I am the dragon master!
As Sam's armour started to take shape so did Sam's body as a message appeared

Sam had no time to look at the new skill as the manticore lunged at Sam but failed as Sam used his tail to smack the manticore away before he pinned it against a pillar and tore its body to shreds before he found a black gem and crushed it
Once the gem was crushed the manticore started to wither away as the passage to the others opened up again while Sam was bombarded with messages as he changed back to normal

Sam noticed that the big blue gem in the ceiling was gone before he turned his attention to a wooden chest where the manticore was sleeping and was about to open it when he heard footsteps and saw Jim and the others running towards Sam while asking different questions all at once
"Master! We all just learned the skill
"Are you hurt anywhere?! Did you kill the manticore?"
"Master what happened?! Did you complete the dungeon?!"
Sam shouted at them all as he was beginning to get a headache
"SHUT UP!!!"
Once every was quiet Sam sat on the ground and said
"The dungeon is cleared but it will be active again in 30 days"
Everyone was relieved to find the dungeon was cleared but also worried about it being active again before Sam got up and went over to the wooden chest and opened it to find an egg called the [Spider Queen Egg] before Sam had a thought about the dungeon
'Did the manticore steal this egg and force those spiders to guard the entrance?"
Jim and the others saw the large white egg in Sam's hands before Taylor asked
"Master what is that?"
Sam put the egg in his inventory and said
"I'll tell you later but let's get out of here"
Jim shook his head and said
"We can't, the hole we jumped in closed so we'll have to look for another way out"
Sam sat back down and said before he checked his status
"I need to sit down for a moment so you guys look for an exit"
Jim and the others nodded and begun splitting up as Sam looked at his status in shock

Sam wanted to immediately test the new skills but was stopped when he heard Jim say

Everyone walked over to find a small pool that was crystal clear while it showed the Earth worm pit in the middle of the pool before Jim said
"I think this is what the hunters back home call a Return Pool so with this we'll be able to get back"
Sam immediately jumped in and landed on the edge of the Earth worm pit and looked around for the others and almost immediately everyone fell on the ground before Sam smiled and said
"I think this hunting trip has been a complete success so let's head back"
Sam then pictured the great hall and said as he used his hands to give an outline of the Gate while he pictured the great hall in his mind
"Let me try something.
Just then a circular picture of the Grand hall and poked his head through to find Cindy and her teammates coming out of their respective baths before Sam stepped through and heard Cindy say as Jim and the others stepped through the Gate
"Master? Where did you come from? And is that a Dungeon gate?"
Sam nodded and proceeded to explain how he could open a gate as well as tell them all of the dungeon in the Ash forest as well as the manticore before he said
"Tomorrow myself and Jim will return home to recruit his new teammates while you all train and remember to train for the First test"
Just then everyone bowed to Sam before Samantha came over and said as he tugged on Sam's shirt
"Master dinner is ready but can I come with you tomorrow? I want to visit our mom and dad"
Sam smiled and said as he picked Samantha up
"Sure thing but I got a question for you, do you like spiders?"
Samantha and the others were confused by Sam's question before Sam took out the Spider queen egg and said
"After the dungeon was handled I found this but I can't handle another one because of Kinna, Sato and Dina so I'm going to have you take care of this egg"
Samantha and the others looked at the Egg before Samantha shook her head and said as she looked at her sister
"I think my sister should have it instead of me because she is the fighter who could use the companion"
Sam smiled and handed the egg to Samantha as he said
"Well here you go Cindy when the egg hatches you will have access to the Dragon Dens for your companion to sleep"
Cindy teared up a little and said as she hugged the egg
"Thank you master"
Later that night Sam was in the dragon dens checking up on Sato and the others when Sam noticed Cindy at the top of the pit and said as he placed Sato in his den
"Have you thought of a name for your friend yet? For when it hatches"
Cindy flew down and said as she placed the egg in an empty Den
"Not yet master but can I also join my sister with visiting our parents?"
Sam had guessed that they both lost their parents just like him and said
"I understand your loss and will allow you to go back while everyone trains but you'll have to have your team train while we're gone"
Cindy smiled and said before she flew back up
"Thank you master"
Once Cindy had left Sam made sure Sato and the others left the Spider queen egg alone and left for the dojo to do some late night training with his greatsword and as Sam was taking a break he remembered he had gained another item from the dungeon and took out 5 identical bottles called Elixirs that were filled is a crimson red liquid and looked at their description

Sam was curious and drank one of them before he found his agility was increased by 50 points and drank another to have his strength increased by only 10 points before he drank another and felt his insides turn hot as a message appeared in front of him

Once the pain subsided Sam checked his new skill

Sam smiled happily as this skill would surely be helpful in the future but wanted to test it before he used his greatsword and cut his palm before it instantly healed
Sam thought about drinking the last two bottles but realized it would be better used if Cindy and Jim drank them instead of him
Sam then put the last two Elixirs in his inventory and went to bed
The next day Sam woke up and went to breakfast with the others after grabbing Sato and the other baby Wyverns and found that they had grown in size to where they were the size of a motorcycle before Sam checked their status's

Sam was a little worried that they had eaten Cindy's spider queen egg but found Cindy sitting at the cafeteria table with a small white spider on her shoulder before Sam said as he sat down while Harry and phill handed out the food to everyone
"Seems your little friend hatched"
Cindy said as she fed the little spider a tiny piece of meat
"I named her snowflake"
Sam smiled as said as everyone was enjoying their meal
"After breakfast we will all meet in the great hall to discuss the coming week so once everyone is done eating come to the great hall"
Once everyone finished eating they gathered in the great hall and waited for Sam to explain they they we're gathering before they heard Sam say
"Today Jim and myself will go back home but I want all of you to continue your training. In three days the junior recruits and the senior ones will compete but first Jim and Cindy, please step forward."
Jim and Cindy looked at each other before they stepped forward and was each handed an elixir as Sam said
"These are Elixir's, they have the ability to increase your stats or strengthen your draconian core. In the future I will make challenges for you to earn these yourself but for now only team leaders can drink these when I hand you them so go ahead and drink"
Cindy and Jim drank the elixirs and found it to taste like a can of soda before a dim light hit them as the Elixirs changed them as Sam saw two messages

[Your Follower Jim has consumed an Elixir and has gained 210 Strength Points]
Sam felt bitter about how little stat points he had gotten from the three Elixir's but said as he opened up a gate to the tower back on earth
"we will return so until we do Mary is in charge"
Sam then pulled Cindy, Jim and Samantha through the gate where they found the tower was quiet crowded before Sam saw a building in rubble and grew his wings a flew up to see what happened and found 7 portals where a building used to be and noticed a bunch of roaming monsters on the streets but saw that they wouldn't step near the tower before he flew back down and said
"It's not good, there are several buildings destroyed with portal outbreaks in them so I will need you to head back"
Just as Sam was about to open another gate he heard a familiar voice say from behind him
"Sam! Wait!"
Sam turned and found that it was the chairmen and said as he noticed the chairmen was wrapped in bandages
"Mr.Chairmen what happened here? Are you alright?"
The chairmen hastily said as he grabbed Sam's arm and tried to pull him away with all his strength
"I need your help with these portal outbreaks immediately! Most of our hunters that have tried to seal the portals haven't returned yet and we won't be getting reinforcements for a while"
Sam pulled his arm away and said before he opened the gate back to the temple
"I understand chairman. Jim! Gather your team and bring them through! Cindy and Samantha you both should return to the temple until this matter is resolved"
All three of them saluted Sam and went into the portal as Sam heard the chairmen scream
"Did you just open a portal?! How?!"
Sam ignored the chairmen's quest as he saw Jim and his teammates walking through the portal and said in unison as the portal closed back up
"What are your orders master!"
Sam grew his wings and said
"Fan out and kill any monsters and rescue the civilians who are in danger"
Sam then threw his cloak to the chairmen and said as he grabbed his sword
"Hold this while I go exterminate some bugs"
