Neal immediately felt his shoulders stiffened when the cold metal of the handcuffs touched his skin. He was taken aback with trembling system and his eyes slowly turned to Knox.
Knox, who was talking to the head of the police, noticed the glaring eyes at him. He tilted his head and waved at Neal with a smile on his face.
Neal raised his hand and gave him a middle finger with his lips saying. 'You fucker,' before the two officers dragged him inside.
He was put in the interrogation room immediately. They didn't remove the handcuffs. Although if Neal wanted to escape, he could do it. His strength is double than of those ordinary humans and he knew that it was dangerous.
He wasn't really planning on running away, but Knox already surprised him by surrendering him after what happened. At this moment, he lowered his head, thinking that it was so stupid of him to trust that mysterious man easily.
The door of the interrogation room opened and another police entered the room.
"Neal," He pulled a chair and as soon as the vampire recognized that voice, he looked up.
A faint smile stretched his soft cheeks. "Hey," he uttered.
It was Jayson, one of his police friends here when he's still a detective. Just by thinking of that title, Neal thought that calling himself with that was useless now. He clenched his fist and the guilt he felt last night crawled back to his senses.
His eyes were about to tear up when Jayson spoke. "They are here. One of the Vespion was here."
Neal automatically lifted his head up. He wasn't expecting them to hear about what happened so fast. Sweats formed on his face as he grabbed Jayson. "They're not going to sue me, right?" he said.
He slumped back on his seat and sighed. "I just promised them that I won't cause trouble." He was hopeless.
In this modern world where vampires and humans finally got the chance to peacefully live with each other and even loved each kind, a new government rose up in the society.
They are in the Red City and the one managing this was the Laxarus Government. And Neal was part of an agency they called Vespion. It was an agency working under the Laxarus Government.
Even though you can see the peace in this city, those people who only wanted power and greed were still roaming around. Not long ago, the government discovered this new species called rogans.
Rogans were humans who turned into vampires willing to lose their sanity and were willing to commit crime just for the sake of money or revenge. The updated lead they got said that rogans became like this because of an unknown pill.
And the one that they're trying to figure out was where did this pill come from and how did they get it.
To Red City, Vespion was their hero and being in a news like this will surely tickle their butts to interrogate Neal by themselves. Who wouldn't? Neal was the 2nd strongest among the 5 members of Vespion.
Vespion were gifted vampires, who not only have the strength but also have an ability. Neal Oliver's ability is he can see someone's memory by drinking their blood. That's why he was put in the police department as a detective.
And the police officer who died was his brother, Ren Oliver. They are really not blood related, but in order for a vampire to survive, they need a lifetime companion who will give them blood and let them feel humans at least.
When Neal was assigned to the police department, he's already living with Ren. They are like real brothers. He thought that this dream of having a family won't end until rogans attacked his brother and killed him.
Just by recalling the scene was enough to give shivers to him. He couldn't forget Ren's face before his very last breath.
Noticing the gloomy atmosphere around him, Jayson stood up and gave Neal a tight hug. He brushed his back and whispered comforting words to lessen the pain he was feeling.
Ren is not just a good brother but a police officer with a kind heart. He was kind and warm with everyone in the department. He has a gentle temper and is the only one who can shut Neal down when he's about to lose his temper.
Those happy moments will forever remain in the police department along with the ones who loved Ren.
BAM!
The door slammed open when a kick from the outside pushed it in.
"Enough drama. Neal, we need to talk."

Outside the interrogation room in the commander's office. Knox was busy talking to the officer named Sebastian. He was assigned to tend to him since the big shots were here.
Twirling the pen in his fingers, Knox lifted an eyebrow. "They really came, eh?"
Sebastian gulped. Everytime the head of the Vespion visits, all of them will feel very nervous. He took a seat and said. "Yes, sir. It seems like they're really going to sue Detective Oliver,"
Knox stopped the pen and looked at him. "I wonder why they got so bothered. Is that Ren important to Mr Oliver? What's their relationship?" he asked.
Sebastian got chills by those black eyes casted at him. "He's like an older brother to Mr Oliver. Even though some of the officers were making fun of him by calling him a vampire's blood bank, he didn't give them an eye. Mr Ren was very kind and a heartwarming person."
Recalling some of his memories with Ren, Sebastian couldn't help but feel sad too. "He is a good model for everyone. Always on the right path, and a very diligent officer. He's the only one who can stop Detective Oliver when he was about to lose his shit,"
Knox turned his gaze to the glass door and stood up. He suddenly didn't want to hear about this two's relationship anymore. "Thank you for accompanying me, officer. But I'm going out."
And with that, he left Sebastian.
