Ruby glanced at the shop sign that read Torin's Weaponry Shop before stepping in with Matthew. The heavy scent of oiled metal and polished wood immediately enveloped them.
Shelves lined with an array of swords, axes, and various weapons adorned the walls. Each piece of those weapons looked unique as if the blacksmith wanted to match the weapon with their user.
The shopkeeper, an old man with a long white beard, looked up from his workbench as the door creaked open. His expression did not look too friendly, and black eye bags were printed under his eyes, a sign that he rarely rested.
"Welcome to my shop." the intonation of his voice sounded lazy and low as if he didn't care about the customer who had just arrived. "If you want to buy kitchen knives, you can go to the second floor."
He glanced at Ruby, taking in her appearance from head to toe, and concluded that she was a woman who had never touched a weapon before.
