The creature roared in pain, as the wound on its forehead grew larger and bloodier.

Ray landed on top of the male dravencourn once again, and he stretched his hand out, as a flaming spear manifested in his palm. He then thrust the red hot spear with unwavering determination, piercing right through the skull and into the brain matter, and a thunderous explosion erupted right as the brain tissue ignited.
BOOM!
The force of the explosion sent Ray hurtling through the air, crashing near the female dravencourn's lifeless body. "Ugh!" The male dravencourn staggered into view from the dissipating smoke, its skull partially obliterated. It fell to the ground with a heavy thud, its life extinguished.
Ray pushed himself upright, wiping sweat from his brow as he surveyed the aftermath of the clash. "Well, I guess that's over," he muttered, a wry grin crossing his lips.
