Timothy Hayes grew up witnessing his mother's anxiety and nightmares. He clearly remembers that there was a time during his childhood when his mother was afraid of being near men. She is anxious at the presence of men and has a panic attack whenever men touch her. It only changed when his father came back and promised to protect his mother from all men and nightmares.
Timothy knew that there was something wrong...that something happened to his mother. He wanted to protect her, but he knew that at such a young age, there was little he could do. He never asked his mother what was wrong...he never asked his father. But he knew that he had to know...so as he grew up, he researched until he finally found out the horrifying things that happened to his mother when she was young.
His mother was sold as a sex slave, raped, physically and mentally abused, and detained against her will for a year.
