Alex sat on the edge of Mason's bed. She was facing the open window where a white sheer curtain was being subtly moved by a breeze. It was so quiet...peaceful compared to life in the city. Outside the window, she could see the gazebo where Mason and his friends used to hang around. It was at the side of the house so she did not see it when they arrived but it was still overlooking the ocean.
