After seeing Hanuel frown, Jung-Hwa asked what was wrong,after asking that Hanuel explained why he was sad, he told Jung-Hwa that he was bullied by some D-ranks for him to make them some weapon and equipment.
It was right after meeting his dad, that Hanuel met up with those people and they threatened him into making them weapons and equipment for free and he couldn't do anything since he was only a creation typed awaken.
So Hanuel had to agree to what they said or they might of beaten him to death, and after hearing this Jung-Hwa was enraged and asked who did it to him and it was actually the people who ranked first, second and third in the school.
Then from right there Jung-Hwa promised Hanuel, that he would beat the shit out of those people who bullied him and so after that Jung-Hwa first went and asked Hae-Won If he could challenge them.
Since a teacher needed to be a referee for official school rank battles and then Jung-Hwa challenged the guy in third place, the person in third place was absolutely cocky and he had a esper ability.
His esper ability was that he could imbue his esper energy into any object then give it a mind of it's own and give it simple commands and it seemed to work better if the object was in a humanoid for, it was pretty similar to Jung-Hwa's telekinesis ability.
So he decided to embarrass him by making his own objects defeat him, so when the battle started he brought out some humanoid statues and put his esper energy in them and started controlling them.
There were 4 statues and all of them were close combat, they had a spearman, swordsman, a great swordsman, and a statue who used daggers.
While he was trying to take control of one of the statues the spearman statue tried to charge against Jung-Hwa so he pulled out my spear and used the Hollow Tip Spearmanship and instantly made a hole in the the statue.
Then Jung-Hwa noticed that the guy who was controlling the statue wasn't worried and Jung-Hwa noticed that the statue was still moving and he realized he needed to completely pulverized them to stop them from moving.
But Jung-Hwa just added some stat points to esper energy since he still had loads to use after not using it that much in the gates and now he was able to easily take control of one, then he took control of two until he took control of all of them.
The esper energy in the statue was now taken over by Jung-Hwa and now Jung-Hwa realized the way to control objects more perfectly and he can even give them minds of their own as well.
[Ding! The host's knowledge has improved and the host has unlocked the esper ability "Manipulation"!]
Jung-Hwa was surprised that he received another esper ability through this battle but the guy noticed that the statue wasn't listening to him anymore and tried to add more esper energy to it but Jung-Hwa had more esper energy than him so it didn't work.
So then Jung-Hwa made the statues beat up him instead and Hae-Won had to immediately declare that Jung-Hwa won because if it continued the other guy might have died since he only had an esper ability and his physical body wasn't that strong.
And after that rumours spread around that the third best lost to a 1st year and he was sent to the hospital and which were all true and after taking a quick break Jung-Hwa challenged the second best.
The person was actually a girl and her ability was that she could control all the elements of nature and Jung-Hwa realized he could make a fool put of her by using elemental harmony to take control of the elements.
After the battle was prepared the girl asked if Jung-Hwa was the one who defeated the guy that was in third and he said yeah and that he was going to beat the shit out of all the top three, then the girl was cocky as well and just laughed it off.
Which annoyed Jung-Hwa so he decided to give some gender equality in the battle and when the battle started the girl told Jung-Hwa that she was going all out and she was able to control all the elements to attack Jung-Hwa.
But Jung-Hwa dispersed all of it the moment it went near him which shcoked Hae-Won and the girl and the girl tried again but it was a lot weaker, she used too much of her energy on the first attack to make herself look good.
And this time Jung-Hwa took control over all the elements that she threw at him then redirected it towards at her and the girl was screaming that she gave up but Jung-Hwa didn't stop it and Hae-Won had to intervene.
Then after that Jung-Hwa was declared the victor and then took another break and while resting Hanuel met up with him and asked Jung-Hwa not to fight the guy in first place since he just reached C-rank but Hanuel didn't know that he already reached C-rank ages ago.
So he didn't tell him because he thought it was funny and he said he would continue the battle and after that he challenged the guy in first place, his ability was that he could greatly improve his strength whenever he wanted to.
And after the battle was prepared again the guy started trash talking about the other two that Jung-Hwa defeated and it made him mad that he didn't even see them as his comrades so Jung-Hwa decided to used a bit of his full strength in the battle.
