Synopsis
David Griffin is a man who just turned 22. He loves his family, but he is pressured by them all the time to do his best. He knows that they care for him, but when he tries to talk to them about how he feels about things, anything, he usually is told to just push through it, to man up, or something similar. He feels trapped because he wants to accomplish something that will make them proud, but whenever he tries to he ends up failing at it. Everyone around him says he's trying too hard, and is only hurting himself, but he just keeps pushing himself. He's also the oldest of siblings, so he has to be the example for them, so even when he's hurting he just puts on a smile and just pushes on. Well, problems start to happen with his mind, and he isn't able to cope with it and he starts breaking down, and he doesn't want his family to see him in that way, so he starts to drift away. Finally, one evening, he goes over to his family's home since his sister is bringing over a boyfriend. During the time there, the boyfriend starts joking around with the family, but for some reason, starts nitpicking at David about how even though his sister is younger than him, she has had more success than him. Well, this was the straw that broke the camels back. David blows up at his sisters boyfriend, and in the process ends up splitting them up. He feels bad already since he knows how much she loved him, and with everything swirling around his head at lightspeed of not being good enough, these next words from his family ends up driving a stake through his heart. "I'm embarrassed and tired of being related to you, I can't believe what you just did to me," his sister says, and the rest of his family is in agreement. Not being able to handle anymore, just gets up and leaves with tears not coming out because he's holding it in, and not being able to say anything with the feeling of shards of glass in his throat, drives off and tries to get home. On the way there, he finally can't hold it in anymore and starts crying on the way home. Unfortunately, with tears making it hard to see while driving, doesn't see that there was a car off to the side of him, the driver drunk. It's too late to swerve, and the drunk hits him head on in a T-bone. David died instantly, not able to process he died, and in hysterics from earlier that night, doesn't notice God sitting in front of him, with a sad look on His face. God walks over to him, hugs him and just lets David cry it out. After hours of crying, David finally is able to take in what is happening to him and looks around.

Chapter 1 - New Beginnings

David was finally able to calm down from his hysterics, and the first thing he thought of was, 'Who is hugging me, I was in my car alone and I live alone, so who is hugging me?'

"Thank you." David said after he was done going through these thoughts, all the while still hugging whoever he was hugging. He took a look at the Man in White and took a look around and saw nothing but white as far as the eye can see.

"Where.....am I?" David asked. The Man in White looked at him and said with a sad smile and look on His face, "You have died, and I brought you here. I felt that I should do something, though what that should be is up to you."

"What....." was all that David could say, still mentally unstable though while in the room he is calming down, there is just too much for him to process at the moment.

The Man in White just stayed there with him, letting David process what was going on and letting him sort things through his head. For David, he didn't think that tonight was going to be the night that he died, and just the regret of what he did and not being able to fix it started to outdo the calming sensation the white place was giving him.

The Man in White, noticing the thoughts and feelings of the poor man started to talk to him and try and get him to focus on something else. "Excuse me, there is no time for you to start going down this path you are going down in your mind. There is still much to do for you and even though I have eternity to wait, you do not."

David just looks at him with confusion, with everything happening all at once, he knows that what the Man says is true, and starts to just focus on one thing at a time, even with everything in chaos in his head. "Alright then, what do I need to do then?"

The Man says to him, "Well first I would tell you who I am. I am God. I already know everything about you, more so than yourself, and I know the amount of pain you are going through. I do have to say I am impressed with what you have accomplished on Earth, with everything you've been stressing yourself out with, and what you have done to make things work, and know that you are a good person, no matter what you think about yourself."

David just hears everything, and for some reason just feels a weight off his shoulders, not everything, but more free than he has before. He feels like he is about to cry again, but holds it in and continues listening to God.

"I would like to offer you another chance at life, obviously I cannot let you go back, and so I would send you to someplace else, that however is up to you."

David listens to Him, and thinks for a while. God just waiting for him to make his choice. David finally gives him an answer. "I would like to take that offer, however, do you mind if I don't become a human again, I'd rather have a good new beginning. But if you could, just watch out for my family. I know they probably don't miss me all that much, but if you could, just make sure that they're taken care of, no matter what. Please."

God just looks at David, and smiles again. "I will. You sure are dedicated to you family, aren't you?"

"Yes sir. I just don't want anything to happen to them. I just wanted to make them proud, so now that I can't, might as well try even without them knowing." David just smiles, though to him he doesn't know what feeling is attached to it.

"Well, now that that is out of the way, why don't you tell me what you want to become. You also still have to tell me where you want to be sent to." God reminds him.

"Well, since I can be anything, couldn't I be something like a 9-tailed fox, I always liked the little plushies of them and everything. And I loved animals, so could I also have all animals like me too? Oh, and some magic, think that's really all that I want."

God nods His head, and thinks to Himself, 'I'm gonna add some blessings to him, what he asks for is pretty simple, and it isn't much, hopefully he can grow to my level as he continues down his road.' "Of course, and where would you like to go to?"

David thinks for a while, and tells God, "Why not go to the place with others like me, since I'll be something out of fiction and mythology, why not go to different Monster worlds. Would it be too much to be able to eventually just travel them all?"

God thinks for moment, and then nods. 'This way he'll at least be able to choose where he wants to go for a while, and I can separate him from anyone wanting to mess with him until he can somewhat take care of himself, however.....'

David smiles, trying his hardest to just focus on the now instead of the past. Although, to him he his head is hurting badly, just splitting is what he feels, God notices this and understands that this is too much for him too handle at the moment. "Alright my Son, I shall send you onward then, and take care of this world. I'll allow you to switch between bodies, since you might to also interact with people on the off chance you do."

"Thank you." David looks at him, a little unsure of all that He said and what he heard, so he just goes with the flow for now. "I'm sorry if I'm putting you out." David says out of the blue.

God looks at him, and just says, "This is nothing, and you're not a bother. You have to quit looking at yourself like you a problem. You are not."

David hears this, but just smiles.

God then tells him, "Well, this is goodbye for now, hopefully I won't see you again until you come here yourself."

David, "Huh?" He vanishes.

God just looks in an almost random direction, "Goodluck and hope that this life will treat you better, I won't help you out directly anymore, it's all up to you now." He too, vanishes.
