They were not stupid, so they knew that the mine was under attack. The miners were all weaker rankers who signed up to mine in order to gain resources. Mining mana stones was not a job that strong rankers would usually do, unless they were trying to keep the mine a secret. And even then, depending on how many rankers were mining and their tools it could take a long time for them to mine a mana stone vein that was a fraction of the size that Cycle currently owned.
