Grant relaxed once he realized that he was safe back inside of their cave. He closed his eyes and fell asleep. While his physical injuries might have been mostly healed, it was the mental fatigue of fighting against the three hunters that drained him mentally. He also used more mana and power in this fight than he ever had before.
Similar to an engine that was running at maximum efficiency for a long period of time, his brain was able to multitask excellently during the battle. However, he battled for 2 hours with his life on the line. Staying alert and active for that long caused his brain to do what was akin to an overheating engine.
While Grant was sleeping, Leona and Havok were eating their roasted meat and discussing what happened.
