"Each time you rank up it takes longer for you to adjust to new mana that you have access to and how much you need to use. The more ranks you climb the longer it takes for you to adjust. The best and fastest way to adjust is to fight. That is why each time after ranking up and making sure that your core is stabilized then you need to train. There is a wide margin between green and blue rank, so it takes longer than it did in the previous four ranks to adjust. The power that you have access to now dwarfs what you had as a green core, that is why your attacks were so sloppy and you failed to land anything even after activating your best techniques.
