He quickly scanned the battlefield. There were hundreds of not thousands of beasts and humans clashing. After deciding it was too chaotic to join in he looked off into the distance towards the fleeing Cheetah, activated 'Darkness Dash' and took off.
He pumped more mana than usual into the technique, hoping to catch up to the Cheetah before it got too deep into the forest. When he took off the ground where he was ripped apart as he left a trail of destruction due to how fast he was going.
After running for a short while at those speeds he actually managed to get close to the Cheetah. Normally, even for someone as fast as him this would be damn near impossible. Especially when you consider the fact that it chose to flee because it knew that death was the likely result for the battle between it and Havok.
