The beasts were torn between attacking Carter's group or the new mystery person. On one hand, Carter's group had the numbers, but the masked individual gave them a sense of danger. Something that they were sensitive to. Living out in the forest if they were unable to sense the beasts that were a danger to them then they would never have made it to blue core rank.
All of the beasts knew that they had lost several blue core ranked beasts already, so they wanted to even the score with the humans. The four of them seemed to come to an understanding.
Havok could feel mana emanating from all four of them. He figured that they had to be using their strongest techniques which he understood because they were outnumbered, and they needed to go all out or retreat.
