The blonde-haired kid noticed Havok's limp and took advantage immediately. He closed the gap between and started throwing a combination of punches to immobilize his opponent, knowing exactly like Havok did, a close quarter fight based on power was an easy win for him. The blonde-haired kid threw almost exclusively body shots.
Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.
Havok took several blows to his midsection, as he was too slow to cover up before his opponent appeared before him. He felt a rib crack.
"Ughh" Havok groaned as he tried to catch his breath.
'Damn it! I need to do something but being unable to move is a major problem. It also prevents me from being able to put my full power into a punch. Hmm… Maybe that's it! Its not like I have a bunch of options to choose from, if it doesn't work then I'm fucked.' Havok formulated a plan while trying his best to defend his vital spots.
The biggest problem is that he had to wait for just the right moment to strike because if he swung and missed, he would likely get knocked out when the blonde-haired kid struck back. He kept his arms low to defend his body while he bobbed and weaved up top. He was still taking hits, but he can blunt most of the damage with his forearms.
Thump. Thump. Tsuu. Tsuu.
He took two more body blows and slightly curled up, so that the only place his opponent could hit would be his head. Thankfully before he got knocked out, he managed to dodge the first right hand jab. Apparently having missed, the blonde-haired kid got angry and threw the strongest punch he could muster up. Havok saw him wind up and throw a right-handed hook.
Havok raised his left arm to block the blow with his elbow at just the right moment and heard a cracking noise and knew that he got the desired result.
Krck!
Before that blonde-haired kid could even process what happened Havok instantly followed up with an uppercut to the jaw, but not with his fist he used his right forearm just below his elbow.
The blonde-haired kid's head snapped back, and he fell backwards to the ground. It seemed like hitting the ground for some reason woke the blonde-haired kid and he finally felt the pain from the blows he just took. Soon after he hit the ground a shriek unlike anything Havok has ever heard before rang throughout the ring and the surrounding area.
"Ahhhhhh! How dare you, you piece of shit! I'll kill you!" Shrieked the blonde-haired kid as he held his right forearm with his left hand. When Havok blocked that right hook earlier, the force when their fist and elbow collided resulted in the blonde-haired kid's forearm snapped in half and was currently sticking out of the skin and bleeding profusely. Havok was just aiming to hopefully injure the blonde-haired kid's wrist or hand. The break was just pure chance and Havok did not come out of that exchange without paying a price. His elbow was throbbing and the uppercut with his forearm was throbbing with pain that he has felt before. It was the same pain he had in his first official fight when he had a fracture in his forearm, but he was able to ignore the pain as the adrenaline was keeping him from feeling all the pain from the several injuries he accumulated throughout the fight.
Havok didn't particularly care about what he was screaming, so he just limped up to the blonde-haired kid and stood above him as the kid continued to scream. He finally spoke just to taunt his opponent.
"Damn, that looks like it hurts. It's also bleeding a bunch. You should probably get some medical attention; you will probably go into shock, or you could bleed out. The fastest way to get it is just to surrender and you can be taken to the infirmary. That is the first option, but I will give you a second option and to me it is the better option. You can say no, and I'll kick you in the face breaking your jaw and once you're lying on the floor I will stomp on your chest until someone tells me to stop. So, what is it going to be? Will you surrender?" Havok said with an extremely unsettling smile. Havok only proposed surrendering because he knew that someone with this type of personality would never surrender, they would rather get their ass kicked just for their pride.
The response from the blonde-haired kid was damn near instantaneous. His eyes were bloodshot, and spit was flying everywhere as he yelled.
"You think I would surrender to a piece of shit like you!? I promise the next time I see you I am going to kill you as painfully as possible. I am going to take my time while I enjoy the sound of your screams to repay this humiliation." The blonde-haired kid screamed, as he screamed for so long, he ran out of breath and was panting like a dog.
Havok smiled as he got the exact response he expected. "Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." Havok waved his finger in the blonde-haired kid's face like a parent scolding a child.
"Now that is not very nice, is it? This was just a regular fight that you lost due to your carelessness and my amazing skills. Which is obvious because you lost to someone several years younger than you. You fucking loser. Hahahah!" After finishing his laugh, Havok paused for a second and then squatted, so that they were face to face.
He spoke in a low voice to make sure that only the blonde-haired kid was able to hear him. "I wonder… This place doesn't really give a shit about us, so what do you think they'll do to someone who has such severe injuries and has lost to someone younger than him? It also ended in such an embarrassing fashion. Do you think that they will pay for all the medicine and take the time needed to heal you, or will they just throw that person away? Hmmm… Now based on your expression you already know the answer. I will return that promise to you, if you somehow manage to survive, I will kill you the first chance I get. How does that sound to you? Since you are not responding, I guess it's time to wrap this up." Havok stood back up and continued mocking his defeated opponent. His smile never left his face and the more he talked the bigger and creepier it became. "Well, since you chose the second option, I have to do what I said because I would hate to break my word." Havok said with a smile as he swung his foot directly to the blonde-haired kid's jaw and a loud pop sounded out.
Bang! Krck!
The popping sound was from his jaw being dislocated. He fell to the ground and lost consciousness. Havok didn't hear anyone call the match, so he proceeded to stomp on the blonde-haired kids' chest as hard as he could with his uninjured leg. Luckily for Havok, the fight was called off after a couple of stomps because the adrenaline from earlier in the fight was wearing off and the pain came flooding back.
"Stop, that's enough. You have won a number of fights in a row. I assume that you want the same reward as before, correct?" The staff member that started the fight spoke, but he didn't move from his spot of sitting on the edge of the pool. He looked over at the blonde-haired kid on the ground unconscious and he just chuckled. Then he looked over at Havok looking for an answer to his question.
Havok was unable to move from all the body shots earlier. His legs were dead and one of them was injured, as soon as he tried to move, he collapsed on the ground holding his abdomen and just nodded to the staff member's question.
"Alright. Medics come and get these two out of my ring." The staff member said as he looked uninterested now that the fight was over.
That was the last thing Havok heard before he passed out as he saw the medics walk over to him. Havok woke up to the report on his injuries. He had fractured bone in his left foot, a few cracked ribs on the left side of his body, and he fractured his right forearm again. He also had several bruises on his midsection. While he normally didn't care about injuries because they never affected his daily life. This time it was going to be a problem because he wasn't going to be healed for 6-8 weeks. That was a long time to last while healing because of the kids here the possibility of getting into a fight was high. Fighting on one foot and not being able to breathe and having to avoid getting hit on his abdomen, was not something he was looking forward too.
'This is going to fucking suck, if I look injured in anyway those assholes will take advantage of that and fight me when I'm not 100 percent. Tsk.' Havok was pissed because he knew this was going to be an annoying 6-8 weeks and he would still have an official fight when he was healed.
'Well, nothing is going to change, so there is no use in whining about it. I also need to review the fight and make the necessary adjustments. Repeatedly taking that much damage is not sustainable, the only fix I can think of is to put on some weight and to add some muscle. The biggest problem with both of those is that I don't think I can stomach more of that gruel. I'll need protein and fat. I doubt that gruel has much fat, however based on my last opponent's size and muscles it should still have enough protein for me to put on some muscle. Just thinking of that slop makes my stomach churn. The good news is that getting a few more servings per day isn't a problem. I can just go beat on one of the little 'leaders' that likes to show off around the facility. I'll get his and all his followers' 'food' as well but drinking it is still the biggest obstacle. I'll worry about drinking them once I get them until then it's trying to avoid everyone until I am comfortable fighting back and studying in the library like always. Once I get back to my room, sleep is the first on the agenda, I'm exhausted.' Havok was finished planning his moves as he soaked his arm getting ready for his cast and he would need a cast for his left foot.
A staff member came in and gave Havok some excellent news. He was told that because the medical staff did not want to have to redo either of his casts if he got into a fight with the other kids, so he would be staying in the medical wing until it is time to remove his cast. Havok also had a feeling that this must be related to him winning fights and making people money. With how much the staff talked about money it was clearly important to them and his constant winning was improving the treatment he received. Havok knew that this was the best time to asl for what he wanted, so he asked if he could go to the library and grab some books and the staff member agreed. He escorted Havok who was on using a crutch with one hand to keep weight off of his foot and he had a cast on his right forearm. Before they left for the library, he gave Havok the choice between the crutch and a wheelchair, but he stated that he would not push him. Which pissed Havok off. He only had one good arm, how the hell was he going to move anywhere with one arm. He was pretty sure that he was only offered the choice because the staff member saw a chance to be an asshole. He took a moment to compose himself because although this guy was annoying, he was still getting to go to the library, so thought it would be better to just keep quiet. He made a vow that one day he would get his revenge on all of the staff here.
All of the official fights happened at night, so all of the other kids were in their rooms as they made their way through the halls, several minutes later they finally reached the library. Havok was handed a backpack and told to gather as many books as possible because he would not be coming back to the library until he left the medical wing. Havok picked books about a wide range of topics, he was able to gather a good number of books and once the backpack was full, he was escorted back to the medical wing.
