Ashea, Kent and Brendel piggybacking the unconcious Rhean looked amazed as they saw the quick moves of Brad butchering the large Ape. They saw him take out large Jars from a cave entrance that was quite hidden and remote. It took about half an hour of draining all the blood and putting the jars away. Brad then looked at three observers.
He pointed at the rack of stone tools he had brought out then took a large stone cleaver he made from a large obsidian rock. He then started skinning the Beast, Brendel immediately went to the rack and took out a large stone axe and started to chop the skinned area in large chunks. She didn't let it hit the bone of the ape cause it was precious material.
Kent gulped as he walked to the rack, he never tried gutting a beast before as their party's thief handled most of their food. Ashea was reluctant to get dirty but they need shelter for now and this man could provide it to them. Brad nodded at the three and remembered that he still wore his winter armor.
He stopped and washed his hands on the pile of snow on the ground. He then took out his helmet then started to unstrap his leather armor and feather coat. he let his brownish hair flow down as he took out a small starp of wyvern tendon then tied his own hair. He picked up the cleaver again and continued skinning the gorilla.
The three stopped what they were doing and stared at the chiseled face of the mystery man, of all races they thought that could do what he did it never occured to them he was human. Brendel was like a statue raising her axe in midair as she looked at the face of their saviour. It was not that handsome or ugly but the age that was indicated by his face amazed her.
He's too young!!! They thought he was somewhat a middle aged dude with tons of scars but his face scream immaturity. Yet his demeanor says otherwise, he was calm, stoic and even a little attractive to Brendel cause she had always have a high bar for her suitors and one of those is to be younger than her and could beat her in a fight.
Such a man now stands before her but she couldn't find the strength to muster he voice, because deep inside the image of him killing the ape lingered. She looked down to her chest and kept quiet, Kent and Ashea also felt like this as they looked at each other and smiled wryly.
They felt useless that they were saved by a young man half of Kent's age. They could see the inexperience in the eyes of the young man but the skilled hands that skinned almost half of the beast made them rethink otherwise. After twenty minutes of working all together they carried the Jars filled with meat and blood. The organs were kept in separate jars and the bones washed, they then saw Brad go outside and erase their tracks like a seasoned profesional.
Brad then came home after one hour of altering the place where they battled to lead towards the south, he wasn't sure what beast lay there but at least the Mama Bear wouldn't be bothered. He even took liberty in hiding her tracks too.
He then came back to the cave where he found the four people sitting on a set of furniture he made before so this room would look like a proper living room. He placed his weapons near him and asked for the Glaring pole, Ashea was reluctant in parting with the large eyeball but she gave it back anyways.
Brad then stared at the three sober people, he smiled as he went to a wooden cabinet where he stored some small things he ahd made in his past time. Ventilation was good and the glow worms light made the ambience of the room like a club so beverages were in order. But Brad settled for tea made from a mix of calming herbs and fresh smelling leaves of small trees.
He went back and placed a set of ceramic tea set, it was made with care that even if there are no designs the simpleness of the kettle and cups made them pleasing to the eyes. The room was silent as the three watched the graceful demeanor of the Young lad in front of them.
First it was a show of strength and skills now it was a show of a demeanor that could rival a prince or poets when they prepare their art for the audience. They watched in bated breaths as the actions of starting a fire with flint seemed even graceful. Brad was imitating a traditional tea ceremony he had watch about how Japanese give hospitality to their guest.
He was only moving by copying the actions and expressions of the one he had watched and felt a epaceful vibe that he forgot about the guest he was preparing the tea for. But he still made enough for five people as he placed small cups in front of them. He then poured the tea he had prepared and they were greeted by the aroma of the forest during spring.
This made the three relax and the unconcious one stirred up from her sleep as the aroma woke her up to see what the fragrance is about. Rhean groggily sat up and opened her eyes only to see a strong chiseled manly face seriously pouring tea with grace of a noble. Her heart instantly fluttered as she stared at the face that was not so handsome but not ugly either.
It was at least better than most of the men that had tried to court her, she blushed as she felt she wanted to speak but it felt like it would ruin the artistic moment of making tea. She sat there dreamy eyed as her drunkeness was fading away as a relaxed feeling swept over her. She then noticed her friends besides her and remembered where she was.
Her memories came back on how embarrassing she acted when she impulsively tried that tempting alcohol. Which by far was the most delicious she had drunk so far. Not that she ever tried the expensive ones in their Kingdom, but that drink would rank at one of the top for sure. Soon Brad was finished as he handed each of his guest tea.
"Do any of you understand me?" Brad spoke in Earth's English incase there might be anyone here that knows his language. The four that sipped tea was relaxed at first but hearing the voice of their saviour made them pay attention. They seemed to know the meaning of what he said but the language is lost on them.
