Isabel was reading a few documents in her now study room until she was interrupted by a light knock.
"Entri!"
An old man in his sixties entered.
(The following conversation is in italian.)
"(Miss Isabel,I picked up your car from the repair shop and also made sure to wash it before bringing it.You can now use it.)"
"(Thanks uncle Betto for the hard work.)"
"(Miss are you sure you don't want me to search the person who stole the tires?)"
"(It's not a big deal.It were probably some young thugs that had no choice. It's a bit my fault for leaving this place behind for so long, that's why the youth is resorting to these methods.I don't want to ruin a teenagers life with prison. After I invest in the school and for new workspaces they won't need to do these things anymore.)"
"(Miss, you should also teach those hooligans a lesson to not mess with you. You're being too nice.)"
"(Uncle Betto, thanks for worrying about me,but I'll give them this chance.Don't worry if they do something again I won't be nice,I promise.)" Isabel sweetly smiled.
"(If you say so.Just tell me Uncle Betto will deal with them just like in the old times.Young people nowdays need a lesson.)"
Seeing the uncle Betto worry about her, warmed Isabels heart. It reminded her a bit when her grandfather was alive, though he would spoil her most of the time,he was also strict and wouldn't let her off easily if she did something wrong.
After a simple conversation uncle Betto went out to check the process in the lands, while Isabel took the car keys to visit the HQ.
At first she checked the time in her phone.Gael would be coming today, before he boarded the plane he had told her that his train would arrive on 13:37,since there wasn't an airport in this city.Currently the time was 10:31.The train station wasn't far from the HQ,since she didn't have much work there, they could come home together.
The distance was a bit far since the Ricci mansion was in the outskirts, close to the lands where everything had started.
When Isabel started driving she felt something was off with the car,but decided to ignore it.Maybe it's because she got used to driving the other car in country U.These cars were different, plus she had just sent it to the repair shop to fix any other issue,so it was probably fine.
It didn't take more than 30 minutes driving for Isabel to be sure that her car was not fine. Many times she had tried using the brakes to slow down but nothing had happened. She had tried to stop, but again nothing had happened. Her brakes had failed. They didn't work at all.
