5 Years Later
Mariana Forest
---
"Grandma, I'll go first!"
Said the handsome boy, who has an athletic body and is not too skinny, with short brown hair, and light blue eyes that adorn his eyes, seventeen years old named Dash Hale.
Many girls had a crush on him, but he never cared about their feelings. Because he promised himself to be a good hunter, then think about his feelings later.
His hobby is hunting in the forest at midnight, he doesn't have fear when doing his hobby.
He lives only with his grandmother and his older brother because his parents who left him from birth have never returned until now. But he was never sad about it because Dash Hale was one of the happiest kids in his family.
His older brother named is Thomas Hale, he is still lucky because when he was a child he could still feel the love from his parents. But now he hated them, for leaving him with his young brother.
Their simple life made Happiness never fade from Dash Hale's face, seeing his grandmother smile in the morning made him very grateful for the people that he loves.
His grandmother was a small farmer who grew sweet potatoes and corn in their front yard. To meet the daily needs of his grandmother, Thomas assisted her to sell the crops they could produce every day.
They both did not go to school because of economic limitations, only Thomas had experienced school for 5 years, but now he has stopped to help his grandmother meet his daily needs.
Unfortunately, his young brother never wanted to help sell the crops they had harvested. Because according to him it is better to hunt and get deer or wild rabbit meat than to go to the market to sell crops harvested and buy rice.
Because for him it's something very boring.
He always went hunting alone with no one to accompany him. One day he was hunting with his older brother but did not get any prey at all. Because every time he wanted to shoot, his older brother always bothered him so that the animal he was about to shoot is run away.
And that's why Dash never took his older brother back to hunt, and actually, Thomas didn't want to go hunting because it wasn't his hobby.
Now his goal is to head to a hill that is behind his house. The hill is quite high so the ascent made by him is a bit draining at the beginning of the journey to the top of the hill.
Because after the rain, the moonlight was so bright that it shone at night.
"All right. Come on Dash! You should be able to reach the top of this hill, in a little while!" He said encouraging himself as he gazed excitedly up the shortcut that would be steep.
The hill behind his house includes a hill that has a shortcut to get to a fairly large forest.
Where in the forest there are a lot of wild animals that are still very capable of being hunted.
And the largest population is deer and also wild rabbits.
But he also had to be careful because at night it was not only him who hunted, but many cheetahs hunted at night.
Dash was sneaking up behind a large tree when he saw a deer standing in the bright moonlight. He focused to concentrate on stalking such a large prey that was currently not too far away from him.
Tonight it feels like I'll be bringing home such a huge deer. His mind was happily smiling as his right eye squinted at the target that was now approximately 5 meters away from him.
"Gotcha!"
The arrow shot towards where the deer was standing but had not yet reached the heart of the deer, suddenly the deer ran because it realized there was a sound around it.
"Arghhhh!" He swore as he immediately rushed to run after the deer.
"Tonight I can't escape my treasure!" He said as he ran fast trying to catch the deer that was running a little slower.
He stopped for a moment when he saw that the deer was now stopping right in a valley not too far from him. Dash watched now the deer was drinking the water in the valley.
Okay, fine Calm yourself down and try to focus now, you should be able to hit that deer. He thought to himself he caught his breath trying to relax more and concentrate on aiming at the target that is already in his sight.
By the time he had started to refocus and squinted his right eye to aim at the deer that was drinking the water, the air as well as the time around it slowed down as if to stop as he started to concentrate on aiming at the deer.
He took a deep breath and then released the arrow he had aimed at the deer.
'Whoosh!'
Dash released the arrow "Damn It!!!" but unfortunately the arrow did not hit the deer.
Dash sat annoyed because he didn't get his prey, but at the same time, Dash's eyes suddenly saw a reflection of a red light buried in the ground.
And stood up and walked closer to where the red light was.
Dash narrowed his eyes to look at the foreign object covered by the dirt, then Dash crouched down and tried to dig a little bit to see what it was.
"Wow, what is this thing!" He muttered as he saw an oval-shaped object of bright red mixed with dark was right below him now. The thing has a size that is quite large from the grip of his hand.
Almost the same size as the old rugby ball. He approached it and then touched the red thing which had a glitter-like shimmer on each side of the oval shape.
"Awww!" Dash was shocked when he touched the object, suddenly his palm felt like it was burning for a moment.
And a bright red light, he just saw when his hand touched it.
[A contract has been concluded]
He held the palm of his hand that had just touched the object, then he blew his palm slowly. "Damn it, why am I not having any luck today!"
Dash cursed as he drew closer to the red object that caught his attention again.
"God damn it!!!" He cursed as he was about to kick the red thing, but he stopped swinging his legs. By the time he felt the burning heat return to his palms.
"Awww!!! what is this!" he said, looking at the palm of his right hand.
He was silent for a moment, then took the cloth bag he was carrying, and without further ado, he who was curious about the object, immediately wrapped it in the bag he was carrying. Then he decided to go straight home.
