Chapter 5 - Accept Defeat!

It's just that the person calls him a Griffin Rider, where there is someone like him who can ride a Griffin. They must be just bragging. Dash Hale thought it was strange when he saw several crowds of people who were in the right corner of this bar drunk and talking about weird things.

"Are we celebrating ten years ago? Or twenty years ago? The Griffin Battle?" Said one of the fat men who was now pouring the beer back into the large cup that the man called Cedric was holding.

Dash couldn't help but stare at the behavior of those who are old and still looked like children to him.

"Twenty years ago it felt like haha!" Cedric said with a loud laugh.

"What about your Griffin? Isn't that a mythological creature, lord of the air, and king of all beasts? Where is he or she now?" Dash asked suddenly, ignited by their jokes at a table in the far right corner of the bar.

Suddenly everyone who was sitting with Cedric looked at Dash with flat expressions.

"Hello, where's your Griffin? Can you show me, The Griffin Rider?" Dash said again in a somewhat mocking tone towards Cedric.

Either because he was carried away by his emotions or out of curiosity, Dash even dared to say this to a group of people who looked like retired Viking warriors.

"Woah ha ha ha ha!"

But they just laughed while pointing oddly at where Dash was sitting.

"Boss let me teach a lesson to a brat like him!" Said one of the big muscular men with a long beard, his hair in a bun and tied high up like a sumo player.

But when the man was about to stand up, Cedric forbade it by shaking his head.

And the man just obeyed the directions given by Cedric.

Dash turned his face away from them and then drank the beer he had ordered earlier.

'Chough' As he took a sip of the beer he ordered, Dash choked and coughed as this was his first experience of drinking beer. Because of the strange taste on his tongue that he vomited.

"Hahaha look!!! You don't belong here! Put on your diaper again!" Shouted one of those who were in the same bunch as Cedric.

Dash got more emotional when he was said to be like a child, he got up and then carried his bag. Dash decided to get out of the bar.

"You uneducated old man, who know about the teachings of etiquette to other people!" cursed Dash grumbled all the way home.

He grumbled about their school education, but he didn't even know what it was like to go to school.

"Hey Dash, here's your Order!" George said the meat seller who had ordered him.

Dash languidly walked over to him, reached into his pocket, and pulled out some silver coins that the Antique Dealer had given to him.

"This is my only money sir!" Dash said as he placed five silver coins in front of George.

George who saw it immediately returned the money that was spent by Dash and asked to keep it again.

"Don't worry, this was free for you, there's a lot more!" He said with a look of pity on the boy, who looks wrinkled with his appearance now.

"Is that true?" Dash asked in disbelief, his eyes wide and his smile widening when he was able to get the meat he ordered for free.

"Thank you, Mr. George! God always bless you!" Dash said and then ran away with such a happy face.

"Amen," George replied agreeing with what Dash had just said to him.

"May your life change one day!" His heart was praying for the boy he often helped and helped.

Dash with a happy face forgot all the events that happened at the bar earlier that had irritated him, but now that happy look has returned to his face after someone asked him about something...

"How're the clothes?"

Dash stopped immediately, his expression flat, and his eyes bulging like his heart was about to burst.

Dash turned his body slowly to the clothes seller who asked about his clothes earlier.

"Aaa hmm, that's.. ugh!"

"As I thought, only crazy brats like to fantasize!" Cut the clothes seller straight into his shop leaving Dash frozen in silence in front of his shop.

His heart which was about to fall out, felt like it had exploded now because of the words that the old man had said.

Dash with his blank expression slowly walked out of the clothing store.

The whole way he wasn't in the mood to run so he decided to just walk, so it was certain that he would be home in thirty minutes.

Thirty minutes have passed,

It felt like he had no zest for life anymore, Dash walked limply without an expression that had arrived in front of his house.

His grandmother who was hoeing in front of the yard of Their house was confused when she saw the expression of her grandson was so wrinkled.

"Hey Dash, why is that face bent like that?" Asked his grandmother curious about what happened to her grandson.

"This, grandma has venison and pork for grandma, please cook it deliciously!" Dash answered flatly and put the meat on the table near their living room.

"I want to rest in the barn, don't anyone bother me first!" He said weakly as he walked towards the barn.

Dash entered the room, then placed the box of what he thought was antique and expensive on the table where he usually enjoyed eating. He looked somewhat annoyed at the box that was on the table now,

He immediately lay down on the pile of hay that he had covered with a blanket, which would warm anyone who wanted to sleep on the dry hay.

"What's going on, why is everything that I thought and imagined suddenly all disappeared and was not achieved at all!" Dash Hale muttered as he played with his hair.

He closed his eyes tired of what had just happened today. And because he was so tired, he quickly drifted off to sleep.

———

"Dash... Don't let the heirloom fall in the wrong hands, guard it with your life, I know you can do the job because the heirloom is the.."

Dash immediately woke up from his sleep when he had a strange dream. He seemed to see the shadow of a woman who he did not know was in his dream and gave an antique object which he said was an heirloom that must be preserved with his life.

"Who was she? What was she going to say earlier...!" Dash was confused and still sitting on the hay when he realized that the dream was like a reality for him...
