On a tour bus, Summer Sky stewed in her anger. She couldn't believe Loyal publicly called things off. Even though they weren't really together. She enjoyed the limelight that came with being Loyal's girlfriend.
She knew she was wrong for cheating on him with her manager, Roland. But if she was being honest, Loyal was her side piece. Plus, she did like Loyal and thought he was being overly dramatic about the cheating. Everyone sleeps around in this industry. It was ironic that Loyal cared about loyalty that much.
Loyal was more of an attentive and gentle lover while Roland was more of a wildcat. Roland was very comfortable with an open relationship with her. Especially, with them being able to benefit from her potential partners. Though I hadn't expected to get caught. Luckily, the label thought they should keep the appearance of a fake relationship up because it benefited them both.
Summer just couldn't believe he had the nerve to grow a backbone. She was fuming as she read his statement he put out:
I truly treasure the relationship Summer Sky and I had. We both realized we outgrew our relationship and worked better as friends. Thank you to all our supporters.
"I can't believe he's trying to keep it short and cute! Like why now? We've been in a fake relationship for over 6 months."
" I hate to bring this up, but last night after your show I thought I saw him with a girl." Summer's assistant, Ava replied.
" Please tell me you're joking ."
" I wish I was but I had I'd known he would put this statement out, I would've mentioned it."
Summer ran to the restroom and started vomiting. She didn't know if it was the stress of her to vomit often as of lately. But it was causing her to be tired too.
"Summer, are you ok?"
"It's just the stress."
"Are you sure? When was your last period?"
Summer looked at Ava in shock and didn't respond. She had just realized she hadn't had a period this month. She thought she and Roland were careful, but I guess not. She knew she had to come up with a plan fast.
"Summer? Are you ok?"
"Umm, yeah. Umm, can you get me a pregnancy test?
"Of course. I'll be right back."
As soon as Ava left, Summer knew she had to call Roland. She didn't mind their age gap, but she wasn't sure about being public with him. With her being 22 and him being 37. In some people's mind the age gap alone was definitely a red flag, but honestly they had great chemistry and passion. Plus other than Loyal and Aaron not many people knew she was with Roland. The executives just thought she had cheated on Loyal with a random guy and had no clue that guy was actually her manager. They just didn't want that negative drama floating around and liked selling her and Loyal as a couple.
"Hello."
"Roland, do you have a second? I have something important to talk to you about."
"Yeah, what's up?"
"Umm, I just realized I haven't had a period this month."
"What you mean?"
"I missed my period."
"Are you trying to you're pregnant?"
"Umm, yeah. At least I might be."
Roland got real quiet. He was screwed if it turned out Summer was pregnant. He had a wife and two kids plus his wife was pregnant. He did a great job at keeping his personal life away from his work life. Summer was completely clueless that he was married or had kids. And if he was honest he wasn't sure if he was even the father of Summer's possible child.
"Roland, are you still there?"
"Yeah, baby."
"What do you think?"
"Have you taken a pregnancy test yet?"
"Not yet."
"Take a pregnancy test first then we'll figure it out. Also if you are, will the baby be mine?"
"Yes. I've been with you for the past over 6 months and knew you every time I wasn't."
"Oh, okay baby I was just double checking. Let me know how the test goes."
"I will. Love you."
"Love you too. Talk to you later."
Roland prayed to God Summer wasn't pregnant or if she was that he could talk her into getting an abortion. He didn't like the idea of having two babies on the way. Even though he was a cheater, he actually loved his wife. They'd been together for about 15 years and Summer was just fun. He would admit his wife was perfect, just sometimes he wanted to be selfish. He couldn't fathom the idea of losing his wife.
