Chereads / Defeat The Vampire King / Chapter 3 - A Trap

Chapter 3 - A Trap

"UWAHH!" Oliver was shocked when he saw another alien vampire in front of him when he just woke up.

"Calm down! He's fine!" Shiro tried to calm Oliver who had been feeling panicked.

"Who is he? Your friend?" Oliver asked Shiro who was still worried about the other vampire in front of him.

"Let me introduce my self, my Adam. My name is Azriel. If he is a lazy vampire, I am a clever vampire," said the man with a black cloak like Batman on his back.

"So you're one of the traitors?" Oliver asked, confirming his identity.

"That's right. I'm also one of the five traitors." He looked very polite and introduced himself very kindly.

"You don't have an owner?" asked Oliver who saw him without his adam.

"No. Last it was only your parents, I decided to travel alone, monitor the chaos that was going on and report it to my colleagues," Azriel explained as he sat down.

Oliver's parents have tried to defeat Vladimir, however, their potition are unknown. Either die or life.

"Then do you know where all of them are?" Shiro asked his friend.

"Of course! However, whether they have left their place or not, I don't know. Then, their guard from Adam is very strict, so sometimes I can't tell them anything," explained Azriel while looking down and feeling very worried. "Then what are your plans now?" Azriel asked Shiro as well as Oliver.

Oliver looked at Shiro and their eyes met now. It seems that it will be difficult if you have to unite all the vampires, considering that they have also been closely guarded by their respective owners. He thought about the worst case scenario, namely, they wouldn't be able to get away from his adam, or his adam wouldn't want to let go of the vampire.

"Now, we will go into the dungeon, yesterday I saw a treasure chest, who knows there is something there." Shiro looked at Azriel.

"Is that so? Looks like there's one there, only the owner is very strict on guard."

"Then how about we leave now? You know the way, don't you?" Shiro asked as he got up from his seat.

"Wait a minute."

Azriel looked at the two of them with sharp eyes, Shiro also looked at Azriel with amazement.

"Oliver, you know that right? Only one adam was destined to save this world?" Azriel asked while confirming the thing he should have asked in the first place.

"Yes I know." Oliver looked into the man's green eyes and got serious about this conversation.

"There will definitely be a vampire fight, and also one of the three of you will fight over the adam's position. If you weren't the adam, then what would you do?" Azriel asked Oliver.

That matter had become a controversy from the start, because only the adam that was sent down to the world of Rouran could save that world. In addition, the entire power of the treacherous vampires will not come out completely and it is certain that history will repeat itself.

"I don't mind, I'll leave everything to the real adam. I won't hold grudges, or be upset, I'm trying to understand," Oliver explained.

"You may never meet a lazy vampire again." Azriel told him the worst.

Oliver immediately looked at Shiro, actually there was a sense of disloyalty too. Because he also considers Shiro more than his own best friend.

"Yes, it is ok." Oliver turned his face away from Shiro and immediately packed his things.

I don't know why I feel a little sad. However, he cannot be selfish, nor can he be childish.

His mature thoughts made Azriel smile. Even though he is still very young, and he is the only one who is the youngest of all the adams that Azriel knows.

They also entered the dungeon deeper and searched for the treasure box that Shiro met yesterday.

The sound of their footsteps echoed throughout the place. It made Oliver's heart beat really fast. The goblin that just yesterday had overwhelmed him, what else would be waiting for him in there?

Oliver brought his blue sword, he believed it was destiny for him and he would use it well, even though he couldn't use his sword well.

"That, behind that door," Shiro pointed.

"You've come here?" Azriel asked.

"Of course! I have to make sure everything is safe for Oliver," Shiro said to Azriel.

"Good vampires!" said Azriel.

They entered the room with a fairly large door, and sure enough, there was a treasure box that didn't know what was inside. Out of curiosity, Oliver opened the box slowly. He found a shining red gem in it. Oliver took it slowly.

"What's this?" Oliver asked as he looked at the crystal he was holding.

"Socere's stone?" asked Azriel who started looking at the thing.

However, suddenly a strong wind blew and something seemed to be coming towards them. The intense vibrations made their standing unbalanced again.

"What happened?" Azriel looks quite panicked.

The vibration on the ground made them panic enough and Shiro immediately pulled Azriel and Oliver's hands out of the room, because he felt the room was about to collapse.

Arriving outside, it turned out that the goblins were coming. A lot of goblins came at once a big one.

"A Trap?" Azriel surprised.

"What!"

"Anyway, let's pave the way first so we can get out of here!" said Azriel who took out his weapon so they could get out of the terrible dungeon.

Hundreds of goblins came from inside the dungeon, almost filling the room to the point of suffocating.

ZRASH!

SRING!

The sound of swords clashing rang in their ears, even so many goblins couldn't help but want to eat their flesh. Shiro, Azriel and Oliver helped each other to attack the goblins.

"Ah! My strength doesn't come out much during the day!" protested Azriel who was trying to hold back their attack.

"I haven't fully recovered yet," Oliver said as he slashed at them all.

"Let's just make a path, then get out of here! There are too many goblins here! We can't waste our energy!" Shiro said.

Oliver thought of killing them all in one fell swoop. At least to open their way out. Oliver gathered his strength and took a deep breath. Until he felt all the great energy gathered in his body.

Oliver closed his eyes, then opened them quickly and slashed his sword at them all.

"HIYAKH!"

The slash from Oliver's sword made all the goblins in their path toppled. He kept swinging it until he saw a way out.

"Hurry up!" shouted Azriel who ran past Oliver, followed by Shiro.

Oliver's breathing quickened, his attacks began to stop. He immediately caught up with Shiro and Azriel to get out before the crowd of goblins chased after them again. However, suddenly Oliver's vision blurred.

DEG!

"Huh?"

Oliver lost his consciousness in the middle of their escape, Shiro saw this and immediately became hysteric.

"OLIVER!"
