The dining hall was filled with different people from noble backgrounds, musicians, artists, and beautiful women who were dancing. King Shaka and King Hele sat beside each other. The maids serve them as the king had instructed.
The aroma from the food made everyone's mouth watered. Different delicious, and edible dishes were served. King Shaka had the best of cooks.
" This looks delicious." one of the nobles complimented.
" It does not look delicious only, it tastes even better than it looks." another noble added.
" Your cooks are the best. You should be proud milord." another noble added.
" Hele, what do you think about the food?" King Shaka asked.
" It is delicious. One of the best I've tasted in a while." He replied with a smile on his face.
" I see, one of the best. So tell me brother, which meal is the best you've tasted." king Shaka asked.
Others who knew King Shaka very well, knows he hates being second best in anything. Even in the smallest things, he always wants to be the best.
" My wife's." King Hele said without hesitation, a bright smile appeared on his face. It was obvious he loved his wife, and he was proud of her.
" I see. Your wife must be a good cook then. I heard she is very beautiful, just like a goddess." King Shaka gave Derek a quick glance. Derek was sitting at the other end of the table. Derek gave him a reassuring smile.
" Yes. I'm blessed by the gods to have her. She is my light, my strength and my friend." He replied, the smile on his face grew.
" You must love her alot. I hope I get the chance to meet her at the feast." King Shaka's brows furrowed. It was obvious, he was jealous. He can't wait to have her for himself. He believes everything good should belong to him. He was greedy.
" Feast!" Hele asked surprised.
" Yes, we are planning on holding a feast for you and your people. I know we've been unfair to you and your tribe, we want to make it up to you." Shaka said in a sorrowful voice.
" You don't have to. The forest tribe holds no resentment against the other tribes. I don't think the feast would be necessary." Hele replied.
" The Kings of the islanders tribe, Medea tribe, and savage tribe, are in support of this feast. This feast is not only for your people, but for all the tribes as well. We want all the tribes to be united. We want equality amongst the tribes." Shaka's eyes were fixed on Hele's while he spoke, trying to read his expression. But he was calm, making it difficult to read his mind.
The forest tribe had been treated unfairly for a long time, they were treated like an outsider. It has always been his dream to reunite all the tribes together. And it seems the gods have answered his prayers. He thought he was the only king who wants a reunion, but fortunately, the kings of the other tribes wants the same thing.
" Hele, I believe you want the same thing." king Shaka's words brought him out of his thoughts.
" Of course. It has been my dream to have a unified tribe. I will discuss with my elders first, afterwards, I will send words to you."
" We will be waiting for your reply. Don't forget, we're not doing this for ourselves only, but for our generations to come. Let's enjoy our dinner. Music!"
The musicians started playing, while the women danced.
