Father wipe the beads of sweat surrounding his face before he went on. "Go to the town of Megiddo, there you will find Carl Bugenhagen. Only he alone can tell you how the child should be killed ."
"You are insane." Robert spout out before he went further. "You asked for five minutes, you have gotten five minutes. Now don't let me see you again anywhere around me or my family." Robert gave his last stern warning before walking away. Leaving Father Brennan speechless for a while. He nods his head on the terrible mistake Robert was making if he did not adhere to what he had explain to him.
Now when Robert was out of sight, the weather became cloudy all of a sudden at Bishop's park. Heavy wind blew heavily. The trees waved back and forth loosing some of its leaves. Little animals of this desolate vegetation scurried into hiding. It looks like a thunder storm is coming but Father Brennan on the other hand knew what all this meant, it was nor mere coincidence. His life was in danger and his end was coming which he refuse to accept. He needs to run into hiding. While he did so, the heavy wind steady his movement, slowing him down. He held on the crucifix around his neck while he prayed for forgiveness to God. Lightening struck one of the tress branch which almost fell on him. Luckily he ran past it for safety. He became very frightened while he ran for his life. It was a good thing his apartment was in one of the church secret rooms overlooking the alter, the divine place of protection and worship. While he made for apartment, lightening and thunder struck in unison. He tries to open the main door to the church but was disappointed to found out it was already locked. Worse the keys was not with him, so he made for the door behind praying that its not locked too. But no, same goes for this door, he knocked and knocked but no one answered him. Then he heard something that was struck that by the lightening at vantage point of the church. He went to see what it was. It was a pole and Father Brennan had not expected the worse of it or that this very spot will be his very end. The pole killed him right where he stood staring up at an angle. He could have escaped his death but all the same, he prayed he was forgiven before loosing his ghost. The storm calmed down instantly.
Back at home, Katherine was in great distress not because of naughty Damien who had been playing behind her with his dad's snooker table with the balls in it, but because of the news she was going to tell Robert. She was seated, waiting patiently for Robert.
Her visits to the psychologist today had not been helpful with her distress while she explains to the doctor that her son Damien might be evil. That she sense her life was in danger too. Her visit today left the doctor in great awe when she told him that she wants to abort the child for the fear of the baby in her womb turning evil too. He arrived, kissed and greeted his wife before he went to his son who still playing behind the sofa. The two had a little fun but Katherine was already pissed by the noise. She order Mrs Baylocks take Damien away. Robert wanted to woo her that Damien was just a child and that she didn't need to be harsh on him. Katherine waved the conversation of. She didn't want to hear any of that not while she is troubled inside. She stood up, turn to Robert to break the news.
"Am not ready to have children Robert. Not another child similar to Damien."
Robert face froze on what Katherine just spill out. He wonder what she meant. But with concern needed to ask this question. "Could it be the psychologist has been feeding you with allot of bullocks? have your appointments with him been going well or should I have a talk with him?"
"My appointments with him has been going well. On the other hand, he wants to see you. He had planned on calling when I left his office but I perceived he hadn't yet. Not until I break the news."
"What news?" Inquisitive Robert asked, his brows drew together.
"I am pregnant Robert. I had found out few days ago and I need you to sign the abortion pa...."
"NO." Robert cut her short.
"No?" Katherine asked.
But what Robert had wanted to say was interrupted by his phone ringing on the snooker table. He answered. it was his secretary on the other line. She asked if she had seen today's headlines on the newspaper. Robert had replied that he hadn't. Luckily, before coming home, he had purchased today's newspapers for reading. He went through one of them. There he saw something that awed him. On the paper the headline read a priest killed by a fallen pole. Chill of fear ran through Robert spine while he looked up at his wife with concern but his wife wasn't staring back at him but out the window.
