Chapter 32 - Chapter 32

"Eugeo! Three clerics and one priest are here!"

Luckily, help for the injured people had arrived. They were a bit drunk earlier, but the commotion and heat emitting from the mountain sobered them up.

"Hurry up and heal the injured!"

The three clerics and the lone priest prioritized treating the people that had it worst.

Chantings came out of their mouths with their eyes closed, directing their mana into their wands and staff to produce the healing abilities they needed to treat the injured.

"It hurts! H-Heal me first, please! It really is painful!"

Every injured person lying on the ground with their skin soaking wet in the rain pleaded with the clerics and the lonesome priest to heal them. Demands from them became a commotion. The healers were so confused as to who they should relieve first of their pain.

"Me! Treat me first!"

"Ugh! N-No, can you heal me first! I'm dying!"

"M-Mom, I--I don't feel good..."

From prioritizing the people that were injured the most to treating the wounds of children and elderlies.

Adults came next when their priorities were finished, and exhaustion began to slow them down.

"The four of you are a great help! I don't know how we would manage if you guys weren't here!"

"It's nothing, Eugeo. We are just doing what everyone in their right mind would be doing."

When everyone thought that the problem with the injured people was done, another more problematic situation sprang up on them.

Bloodshot eyes in the shadows gave chills to the guards, civilians, miners, and the four healers. They were so caught up in what was happening in front of their eyes that they only noticed the forces behind them were sneaking up on them.

The silhouettes of small creatures standing on both hind legs. It was too dark for them to figure out what type of creatures the horde behind them was until the monsters with a wide horrific grins on their faces reveal themselves.

On their dominant hands were either a shortsword, rocks, axe, or bows as their weapons.

"I think we're screwed!"

"Krieee!"

"Why are a whole bunch of goblins waiting for us on the other side of the

bridge?!"

They thought that the vicinity was monsters-free after driving every kind of dangerous creature away. Some escaped and could not be annihilated.

The remaining goblins took their time breeding while slowly advancing once again to try to take back their home.

"Soldiers, gather!"

Eugeo, who was the leader of the knight squad acting as guards for the provincial town took the lead, raising the morale of his men.

"Together, we must fight alongside each other!"

"Yeah!"

"Let us take care of this, sir!"

A prideful group of five knights took the initiative to take down every goblin there is. The way they unsheathed their swords with much grace, showed how they value their job and are keen on always displaying their practice in front of civilians. Not to boast but to let them know that they were reliable too.

Every knight was trained in a harsh procedure, overcoming the greatest hardships, and becoming a respectable knight.

"This will be a piece of cake!"

Eugeo has a bad feeling about the appearance of the goblins.

"Xenon, bring three more with you and follow Darius's group."

"No, Eugeo! You don't need to send more," Darius gleefully waved them off, confident in his own strength and ability. "My squad is enough for these chumps!"

With his huge sword resting on his armored shoulder, Darius and his group stood in front of the tiny goblins, who were gnawing on their teeth at the sight of humans, and saliva dripping down from both sides of their mouths.

"That idiot!" Eugeo cursed under his breath. "Standby, Xenon and your

group. If things go south on Darius's group, immediately jump in."

"Got it, sir."

Behind the knights were the people somehow afraid that the goblins would breach the front line and massacre all of them.

Goblins are labeled as the second weakest race of monsters in Estaria, coming in the first spot were the slimes.

"Look at this tiny bastard. Isn't he fucking glaring at me?"

"Krieee!"

At point blank distance, the goblin in front of Darius threw a slash between the gaps in his armor but was immediately rendered unable to fight. The goblin was instantly pinned on the ground with Darius's foot stepping on its neck, giving the goblin a really hard time breathing.

"Oh, look at you struggling to escape. Here, let me put an end to your struggles."

The wide sharp tip of Darius's sword dawned on the goblin's tiny head, splitting it in half while blood began to mix itself with the rain.

Other goblins just stood there with the same expression as before, glaring at Darius's group with intense bloodlust and angst.

"One of them just died in front of them, and they are just standing there

like nothing happened."

Something about the horde of goblins tells them not to let their guards down. However, when people begin to look down on others inferior to them, they tend to become arrogant and overconfident, which leads to lowering their guard.

In the shadows where the moonlight behind the dark clouds could barely shine upon, something whizzed past the goblins.

Relying on their visions alone, they could not sense the incoming barrage of arrows shot in their direction.

"Arrows? You think this will do any damage to us?"

Wooden arrows shoot through the looming darkness, landing wherever they could land in Darius's group.

"Uwah! M-My eyes!"

"N-No! Don't pull it out!"

Neurell was one of the five knights that stepped forward and got hit in the right eye with an arrow. Without hesitation, he grabbed the arrow and pulled it out of his eyes.

He then felt the intense pain of having his eyeball gouge out.

"Oh my—"

"His eyes!"

"Tch," instead of worrying about his injured comrade, Darius made a move against the horde of goblins, swinging his sword and sweeping everyone off their feet with rage.

The other three, except for Neurell, also started to slaughter the chump bastards with weapon of their own.
