"Is this real? Are you really the demon king?"
Louisanna's curious voice lingered on his mind. He stared into her and he was mesmerized to see how astonished her expression was while still caressing his other horn. It was gentle and he almost groaned in pleasure as his horns were suddenly reacting to her touch.
He didn't know how that appeared in the human world when it was supposed to be only visible when he was in the inferno— The same as his demon form. But now, it was showing in front of the woman who was giving him a strange feeling.
"Yes." He tried to make his voice sound intimidating, but it failed as he couldn't even find the strength in it.
The girl's presence, whom he had known as Louisanna Lohengrin, made him weak.
Her diamond-shaped eyes, pointed nose, pink and rosy lips, and captivating blue eyes were enough for Domhall to admire her. He's the one who should seduce her, but his plan backfired as he couldn't stop his heart from beating so fast.
At this point, he was preaching to himself in the back of his mind why he had the guts to show himself in front of her, in her own territory. He should have listened to his intuition earlier when he was monitoring her in the dark.
'She's dangerous,' he remembered the other side of his mind told him, but he just ignored it.
"Prove it." Louisanna placed the mouth of the gun on Domhall's forehead as she gave him a deadly gaze.
Of course, she was confident to use that because it's a fake. Although Domhall couldn't read her mind through his powers, he can read through her body movements. This was a skill he needed to master back when he was a CEO. Aside from that, maybe Louisanna was just easy to read.
"I don't need to," he answered as he used his telekinesis power to move her hand. However, he noticed that his power didn't even affect the woman, so he needed to pull the gun on her hand himself, and throw it on the floor.
Next, his hand immediately traveled onto her neck as he slightly clung his fingers to it. He smirked as her little yet delicate neck fitted onto his hand.
The heat he could feel within his body intensified... as Louisanna gasped because of the sudden skinship. But at some point, she liked it. It felt like her body was healing in no time.
She can feel good energy going inside of her body as Domhall lets go of her neck when he felt like he was running out of breath, but Louisanna's other hand was still holding his horn, and she was even slightly pulling it like a stick on the sand.
He can feel his body shaking. His heart beat doubled as sweat started to form on his forehead. The intense pain he had felt was so sudden he couldn't even decipher where it came from.
'I need to get out of here. I'm losing a tremendous amount of my power,' Domhall said at the back of his mind— slightly panicking because the only reason why he was still alive after all these years is the power he had to rule inferno.
Losing it might bring him to his grave.
"Don't," Domhall commanded her in an authoritative tone.
In just a second, Domhall removed Louisanna's hand holding him as a tremendous amount of power came out of his body. A smokey fog with a color of red and black combined began to sway with the wind as he was planning to get out of this place, but even with the fog covering his body, he could still see how Louisanna's eye color changed from the color black to blue.
'Blue? That feature is something that only werewolves have,' he told himself, he wasn't able to continue on his thoughts when suddenly, Louisanna was filled with white energy all over her body, yet her facial expression was still confused as she stared at him.
She didn't know anything. She even couldn't feel anything. Unaware of what was happening to her body, she took a step forward to walk in Domhall's direction, but due to their surprise, Domhall's body was smashed onto the white wall as an enormous amount of energy came out of her body, striking Domhall in one blow.
"Fuck!" Domhall screamed in pain as he felt the pain in his back. His body hit the wall hard as he fell to the floor. When he held his nose, he noticed it was bleeding.
Louisanna got alarmed because of what she was seeing. With a worried facial expression and slightly parted lips, she tried to run in his direction to help him stand up.
"Hey, demon king! Are you okay—"
Louisanna couldn't finish her sentence as her head started to ache. She kneeled on the ground as she pants hard while holding her head tightly.
It feels like something was buried in her brain, but she couldn't see what it was. She screamed in pain, loudly and in agony. It was even evident in her voice as it cracked while her tears were falling from her eyes without her knowing.
On the other hand, Domhall felt a sum of energy coming onto his body, and he instantly realizes it came from his spirit guide— Ellaine. He didn't waste any second as he immediately released a fiery smoke for the second time, and he was glad since it worked out.
Only a split second had passed and he was teleported to hell, where Ellaine was just sitting on the couch, crossing her one leg onto the other, same as her arms, as she gave her king a questionable look.
"I'm glad you were able to give me some of your energy," Domhall said, panting as he closed his eyes and absorbed all the negative energies around him.
A group of black, hazy smoke started to have its direction toward him. With that, the burns on his skin suddenly healed as he felt replenished.
However, the process, this time, was painful to him as he winced every second while the cuts on his skin started to get back to normal.
"Ah, damn it." All he could do was curse the pain.
He knew the situation back there was between life and death.
If not for Ellaine, everything could be way more dangerous for him. But that wouldn't stop him from coming to Louisanna. He knew that something strange was going on with that woman.
He won't stop coming back for her, although he needs to endure the pain and itchiness every time he's at a near distance from her.
"Where have you been?" Ellaine asked while raising a brow. "Did you fight somewhere? I told you to be careful."
Domhall didn't answer as he focused all of his energy on revitalization. In his situation like now, he can say that the experience was way worse than when he fought a rebel angel who wanted to explore their place like it was a park where he could stroll.
Thankfully, someone on the higher-ups went down so he could refrain from killing someone of the other race.
He hated angels. They think they were superior, although both races were made for the same purpose: To obtain balance in the human world.
"I can feel your presence but I couldn't locate exactly your location," Ellaine even added, so he turned his head to look at her. "That was a dangerous move."
mo
"Why would a demon king be careful?" Domhall's cold voice filled the whole room. "I rule this territory. They were the ones who should be careful when I'm in sight."
After that, his gaze moved to the sinners that were in their designated cages. "Right, peasants?"
The sinners— peasants, as Domhall calls it, didn't answer him as they just bowed their heads to him, showing some respect.
No sinners were able to see the Demon king. They could only hear his voice, but when someone has the chance to see the king face-to-face, it just means that their soul would vanish.
For good. With no chance to reincarnate.
"You're only ruling this territory, Domhall." Ellaine stood up as she walked on the mini-fire lake where she could stare at her reflection.
"It's different in other worlds, universes, and races. You may be safe inside this place, but it's different outside," she added as she whipped her black demon tail to the side.
"What do you mean by that?" His servant's sentence caught his attention.
However, Ellaine didn't answer immediately as she started to admire her reflection first.
If Domhall's demon figure was horrible, Ellaine was the opposite. She likes how her skin is tanned when she evolves into her demon form. Her long, black hair up to her waist, pointy demon tail, and her dark red eyes perfectly complemented her red tube top and black jeans.
Her demon figure looked exquisite as her powers were intact, unlike her king. Until now, she was waiting for Domhall to realize how powerful he was, and use it not just to rule Inferno, but the other places, and races as well.
"Some people wanted to kill you, and some special species were exploring there… Which is the reason why you should realize by now how powerful your bloodline is," she muttered as she rested both of her hands on her back before turning her direction to Domhall.
"It's just my hypothesis, anyway. We'll never know what's happening outside this place. There were so many races to the point I even lost count," she told him in a casual tone.
Domhall, on the other hand, was trying to read between the lines as he walked and sat on his throne. After a few minutes, he was able to re-energize most of his lost energy, and he has enough strength to think again.
There were so many questions running through his mind, but mainly, it was about that woman whom he felt unusual energy with.
"Rest here for a while. You're my responsibility. The majesty will kill me if something bad happens to you," Ellaine commanded her but he just raised a brow.
"I am your king, Ellaine. No one can dictate me except me." He crossed his leg as he played fire with his index finger. The fire surrounding the place started to grow. "Who's the majesty, by the way?"
"You'll meet her when the right time comes."
That's the last thing Ellaine had told him before she vanished like ash.
