Chapter 10 - Fan's Club.

"I thought you would be here." Jill walked into the infirmary and found Ray lying comfortably on the bed. In his right hand, he carries the magazine he bought earlier.

Ray's eyebrows rose when he saw the magazine in Jill's hand. "What do you want?"

"There isn't any. Come on, you should be happy with all this. I see, almost all the girls are talking about you. Handsome Ray, cool Ray, Leanne-matched Ray..."

"What? What am I?"

"Yeah, you get along well with Leanne. Everyone thinks so. In fact, I'm sure in a few hours there will be a Fan Club for Ray and Leanne." Jill said with a chuckle.

"F-fans what?" Ray asked in disbelief. His hand touched his head, which felt like it was going to burst. Fan Club specifically him and Leanne. That's bad news for him.

"Why? You look displeased."

Ray rolled his eyes, bored. "And you think?"

" It's not fair," Jill said. "But, if you don't like it why did you accept the offer?! Come on, do not pretend to sell expensive. Just accept it and enjoy being a model that girls love."

"You really are narrow-minded." Ray chirps.

"But if you look at it again, you two really match. You're handsome and Leanne is pretty. Well, although I'm a little displeased that I didn't get the chance…" Jill smiled widely. Showing off his neatly lined white teeth. "But, you two are pretty good too. I'm sure there will be a lot of people who like you if you are paired up once again."

"In your dreams."

"Hey! Be a little serious." Jill snapped. After a while, he became irritated with Ray's attitude. "Listen, now I ask you nicely… Why do you dislike Leanne so much? You don't know her, and you've never met her before becoming a model. Quick, tell me, what's the reason you don't like Leanne?"

"Just don't like it," he said, looking away.

"Hey! Are you a human or not? How can you dislike someone just because you don't like them?" Jill snapped. Annoyance crept up on him to the point where he wanted to eat Ray right then and there.

"There's no need to care about my business. Mind your own business." Ray said curtly. His legs kicked Jill's body causing the man to stand up to avoid her. "Go away. I want to sleep."

"Hey," Ray greeted Alena when the girl was busy taking something from her locker. "Want to take a little walk?"

"I can't,"

"You can. Just follow. Only a while." Ray pulled Alena's hand like before.

And for the second time, Alena was noticed by many people as long as Ray pulled his hand towards the school gate.

"What do we want?" Elena asked curiously.

"Any good place for a chat," Ray said without looking back.

The two of them arrived at a small, deserted bridge. Stand on the edge of the fence. Neither of the two had any intention of speaking. Just silent with their own thoughts.

"Have you seen the magazine?" Ray asked. The man turned to Elena. He looks awkward.

"Oh, already."

"What do you think?"

"Good. I didn't know you liked being a model. So, I guess you can carry on…" It would be foolish to say to go ahead and see her all the time as Leanne.

"You think I should continue?" Ray asked, repeating what Alena said. The girl nodded in response. "Actually, I don't really like being a model."

"Then why did you do it?"

"Hmm... Just out of curiosity."

"Curiosity?" Alena's brows knit together. Worrying if Ray finds out her identity as Leanne makes it impossible to get close to Ray.

"Yeah, just wondering what it would be like to be a model and be paired with Leanne. And it feels normal. Just to prove what the kids have always been proud of about Leanne."

"Then?"

"I don't think she's pretty at all." Said Ray, cool. His hands were tucked into his trouser pockets. Leaning on the railing of the bridge while looking at Alena.

Elena was stunned. I don't know what to say in response to Ray's words. She was like an idiot listening to her friend's complaints about his friend's dislike of Leanne—herself.

"Why are you silent?"

"Oh no, just don't know what to say about Leanne. All I know is, she looks really pretty in a magazine. I've also heard from friends that they are eager to set up a Fan Club for you and Leanne."

"That would be very troublesome. I hate it."

"But they love it." Alena tried to steel herself not to cry or shout angrily at Ray for saying something that hurt her. The man kept saying hate and hate towards Leanne, while she never knew what was wrong with Leanne to make Ray dislike her so much.

"And you? Do you like my photo in the magazine?"

Alena looked at Ray with a bright red face. "Y-you look handsome and cool," Alena said. Ray replied with a small smile. "You're teasing me aren't you?" she demanded when she saw Ray's smile that seemed to be teasing her.

"No, I'm just amused that you say I'm handsome and cool," Ray said, trying to keep his laughter from escaping.

"You think I'm stupid." Says Alena. Her hand slapped Ray's arm. "You really are annoying."

Ray fell silent as several girls surrounded him in the hallway. Carrying gifts in their hands. No one didn't see the scene happening. When all the girls gave gifts to Ray, Ray just stood there like a statue.

"I don't like gifts." he said coldly.

All the female students there fell silent. Not knowing what to do when Ray refused the gifts they were about to give in a sarcastic tone. But, that is precisely the main attraction for them.

"Please accept…" One of the girls pleaded in a low voice. She handed Ray the gift she had brought.

"And I don't like being forced," Ray said firmly, making all the girls who were there shiver, including those who saw it. "Excuse me." He walked past the girl without paying any heed to her.

"He's really handsome."

"Cool..."

"Charming..."

All the girls didn't look disappointed when Ray refused their gifts. Seeing Ray up close was a blessing for them. But, you're not a fan if you don't know how to get their gifts into Ray's hands.
