Chapter 15 - Chapter 14: A VISIT TO HELL

Trevor quickly sped up his walking when he felt Yalex's presence was closer. He knows that the demon will bug him or tease him again for being mates. Or maybe something much worse.

This has been going on for almost two months. Six weeks ago when Trevor was introduced to Samuel, the time keeper and a winter prince. He asked him to be patient and not to think too much about it.

However, it's definitely hard to not think about this mate thing if some demon doesn't stop reminding you about it almost every hour of your life just to annoy you.

Trevor felt like his head was about to burst whenever the mischievous demon was around.

At school, Yalex will always bully him and since the boy is not far from being an outcast. Other students had started bullying him too. Perks for being influenced by a pure demon.

And worse. Whenever Trevor is in his workplace, Yalex won't just leave him alone to the point where he gets himself two warnings from his boss thinking that Trevor had been causing a fight between customers and causing him damages.

Which of course. Deeds by the one and only Yalex.

Within those two months. Trevor can proudly describe his life as hell. As much as he wanted to kill the demon, he knows he can't for obvious reasons.

But so what if he's powerful than him. Trevor is smarter and he can definitely outsmart everyone even a demon like Yalex.

And so, about a week ago. Trevor decided to finally play along with the demon's games.

The black sorcerer is a genius when it comes to illusions and card tricks. To the point where everything seems very real.

He effortlessly caught the demon's interests with his card tricks. And once he had bitten the bait. Trevor had trapped Yalex inside an illusion. Using one of Yalex's most hated ideas.

Being ordered around. Especially by his own father. The black sorcerer could never forget the look on the demon's face when he was so immersed in the illusion, not having an idea at first that it's not real.

But with years of experience. It didn't take long for Yalex to figure out that everything wasn't real. And so he was beyond outrageous when he learned that Trevor tricked him.

Trevor started hiding from him knowing he'll never like the punishment that his mate will give him. He managed to avoid Yalex for a week and luckily, the demon was somehow quiet during that week and didn't even accompany him at the Sate's mansion to give Blue's daily lectures.

But today might be different, now that his presence is back and stronger than it was.

"Hey! Wait up!" Blue called and tried to catch up with his almost running pace.

Blue had been hanging around with Trevor once in a while at school. He preferred to stay with Rhian since she's the only one who can touch him without being dead.

But he figures that if Trevor's gonna be teaching him everything he needs to know about his own identity. He needs to at least learn to trust him and be friends with him.

Especially now after Samuel secretly informed Blue that Trevor and Yalex are on definite bad terms.

As always.

As much as Blue wants to stand up for Trevor whenever the sorcerer gets bullied. He needed to stay back or things will only worsen.

"Don't be too scared of him! I'm sure he's not gonna hurt you!" Blue said to him and Trevor immediately scoffed with disbelief.

"He's a demon. What demon will refuse to hurt someone who tricked them!" He said and rolled his eyes as he continued to hurry his footsteps to their next class.

"I'll stay with you! He can't harm you when I'm around!" Blue stated and Trevor briefly stopped just to look at him before he started walking again.

Blue and Yalex do not differ with the level of their supernatural existence. They're like opposite sides of a magnet.

A devil cannot harm an angel. And an angel shall never provoke a demon...

It's like their golden rule that has been there since the beginning of every life.

A few minutes more and the two finally arrived in class just in time. Samuel and Rhian are also there so the two automatically sit with the vampire. While Samuel sits alongside his own circle of human friends.

"I saw Yalex earlier. I thought he was coming to see you." Rhian said to Trevor while her eyes glued to their Professor who had just started his lecture.

"I didn't see him. So it better stay that way." Trevor mumbled while jotting down notes on his notebook. But deep inside, he was feeling anxious.

Two hours later and the class finally ended. Trevor had to leave by himself now since Blue had a different class with Rhian for their last subject.

As much as Trevor wanted to ask Samuel to walk him to his room. He didn't wanna make him think that he's too weak to not know how to handle himself.

Although, Samuel offered to do so and tried to insist. He knew it was no use since Trevor had made his decision clear and the consequences for it remain the same.

The winter prince could only pray for his luck.

And so Trevor started walking to his next classroom which is located two buildings away from his previous class.

But unfortunately, just like how fate had already planned everything. Trevor failed to even make it to the next building and he was pulled inside a room with a very small space to even breathe in.

Trevor's breath hitched when he felt the demon's presence as if it was devouring him whole. Too overwhelming and he could feel his body weakening by it.

"You didn't actually think I'll let you slide for what you did, didn't you?" The demon whispered with a deep voice straight to his ears.

The sorcerer could feel his fear rising up to his cheeks. Not to mention that their very close proximity is enough for him to faint. He tried to squirm but it only caused him pain when the demon squeezed on his waist where he had an arm wrapped around it.

"I hope you enjoyed this peaceful week. Because I don't think I can be gentle after your petty trick." The demon said and right after that.

Trevor felt a heavy gust of dark wind covered him. He squinted his eyes close due to so much heaviness and soon he began to feel very hot. Like every movement he does will make him trickle a sweat.

Soon enough, he felt Yalex disappear in front of him so he quickly opened his eyes.

But the sight that was offered to him made him regret the decision right away.

He was standing on top of a tall tower-like rock. When he looked down, he could see nothing more than an ocean of burning lava. Everywhere he looks is burning and the sky is covered in red clouds of thunderstorms.

There were hundreds of different strange creatures flying from afar to his direction. Trevor could hear them all squealing while their eyes looked at him with thirst.

Trevor's knees gave up in an instant and he quickly dropped like a boneless creature. But the sight of the little movements on the rock made Trevor panicked even more and stood while aggressively patting his hands on his knees.

There were various kinds of small worms on top of the rock where he was standing. All of them were trying to come at him so the sorcerer cast a spell to make sure they didn't come across his little safe and small circle.

However, his dark magic attracted more attention to other evil creatures. And those winged beings that were flying towards him became more aggressive and hostile. Speeding up towards him.

Trevor was more than just scared. He wanted to cry but tears had dried out in him due to the increasing atmosphere of the place. He wanted to scream but he was too afraid to even make another sound other than his helpless whimpers.

"Aren't you happy?" He heard Yalex's voice speaking to him and his head quickly turned to his back.

And there he saw from another rock tower. Yalex who is standing alongside two deadly hounds that are growling and staring at him as if he's the meal that was prepared for them.

Trevor could feel himself shaking more than he was earlier. He's now seeing Yalex in his real demonic form. He couldn't find any word to describe what he saw from the demon. But he is certain that he could hear loud screams of help that was definitely coming from behind him.

"You gave me a surprise a week ago. So I figured I should do the same. Although mine is real and here we are in my humble apocalyptic home!" The demon stated with a devilish tone. His red eyes looked blankly to Trevor's.

He felt so satisfied to see the young sorcerer trembling in fear like this. And he wanted more.

Yalex looked up and saw three winged beasts make their approach to the sorcerer and tried to attack him. But Trevor defended himself with his magic and it only attracted more attention.

He could hear Trevor screaming. But not for help. He is angry and scared at the same time.

Yalex finds him more interesting seeing that he never once uttered help even though he's terribly frightened by the creatures of hell.

"It's not like the birds are scary, right?" Yalex said to the hound on his left and harshly nudged it with his leg. The poor hound fell due to the strong nudge and was burnt down by the fiery ocean of lava.

Yalex then turned to the other hound on his right and it looked obviously frightened after seeing what happened to its husband.

"What are you doing? Couples stay together forever!" The demon snapped and pushed the other hound without hesitation.

Yalex turned to look back at Trevor. Thinking it's time for him to meet one of Yalex's weakest friends in that horrible place.

He flicked his finger and both him and Trevor disappeared with a puff. Transporting back to earth, inside a very old and dark castle.

Yalex is already back in his human form. He looked at Trevor and took his time to admire how bad his body was shaking. His hands trembled and sweats trickled down from his temples.

"I guess your father forgot to teach you how to be brave." Yalex laughed and Trevor glared at him with his glossy eyes.

His eyes were flickering purple. And it frustrates Trevor more that he had not stopped shaking ever since he breathed in the atmosphere of the home of demons; much likely called as hell.

"Chin up boy. You haven't even seen the best part yet!" Said Yalex with a derisive chuckle and casually dragged Trevor by his feet. The poor sorcerer was getting dragged like a luggage.

As much as he wanted to stand up and smack this evil creature right on his face. He couldn't even find the strength to lift a single muscle.

The only thing he can do is just cry.

Soon, Yalex arrived in the main hall where he left Trevor in the middle of a symbol, painted on the floor by the people who lived in that castle.

Trevor could hear him uttering unknown words. And it didn't take long for Trevor to feel a very familiar presence approaching them both.

He quickly stood up and looked around which only triggered every pain in his body.

But it became a lot worse the moment he laid eyes on the spirit of a woman standing in front of him.

"Mother???"

I hope you liked the chapter.
