Chereads / Entangled With The Hot Delinquent / Chapter 6 - Meeting Alex

Chapter 6 - Meeting Alex

I'm not a morning person. I never have been and never will be.

When I first started modelling I always made sure I was on time.

Even if it meant getting up at five in the morning.

Once I started getting recognition for my work and public attention I decided to change things.

Gone were the early starts. I showed up to photoshoots whenever I wanted. Much to the dismay of photographers and editors who had been slaving away for hours. But I always got the job done. In the end.

''Can you please stop yawning and straighten your suit jacket, Mr.Adams ?''

Aunt Katie leaned over her large desk, faffing about with paper work. Strands of her dark hair fell out of her smart up-do and sweat dripped down her forehead.

"'It's just the two of us. You can call me Theresa.''

' 'No I will not. During school hours you will go by Mr. Adams. You will listen when I say the walls in this place have eyes and ears. You have to be careful.''

I rolled my eyes. What was this? The hundred and fiftieth time she'd told me to be careful?

''Okay, Okay! Can't you see I'm serious about this? I haven't even plucked my eye-brows because I wanted to look the part. That's dedication right there.''

Aunt Katie managed to crack a smile, ''I have faith in you....and your eyebrows.''

I grinned, my smile wavering when I glanced at the time.

Ten minutes until classes start.

''Are you ready?'' Aunt Katie asked.

I gulped, nodding my head. I don't think I could ever be ready. My heart felt like it would burst out of my chest.

The hallways like I had imagined were a crowded mess. Students ran past us, laughing and pushing each other. This made me feel worse. How was I going to handle them in a classroom?

''Settle down! You don't want to be in detention on your first day back!'' Aunt Katie shouted over the noise.

It was ignored, obviously, but that did not affect my Aunt. She strutted down these hallways with an air of sophistication and a proud smile on her face. This school was her baby. There was no denying it.

''Here we are,'' Aunt Katie stopped outside of the classroom. She smiled again before turning the door knob and walking in.

''Good morning, Alex.''

I hid behind her, suddenly feeling nervous inside this big, empty classroom.

''Good morning. Katie..Er...is...your niece running late?''

Even though I couldn't see Aunt Katie's face I could practically hear the confusion in her voice.

''She was,'' Aunt Katie replied, checking sideways. She adjusted her position, turning so she was facing me. Her cheeks had turned bright red.

''You're hiding behind me! Stop acting so childish.'' She pulled me forwards, a tad aggressively I should add.

''Hi!'' I yelped, blushing immediately.

Alex smiled, accentuating his well defined features. Why oh why was everyone in this goddamn place absolutely gorgeous?

Alex was quite young, I was guessing he was only a few years older than me. A fitted, white shirt covered his lean body and he wore slim, grey trousers. My gaze outlined the muscles that were just about visible under his shirt.

''You need to work on your voice.'' He said, dropping another dazzling smile.

Relationships with students were strictly prohibited but teachers?

I grinned at the endless possibilities.

''Sorry? My voice?''

Alex nodded, ''Yes, it's quite high for a male voice.''

''I'll work on it Mr. Presley.''

''Call me Alex. I hate formalities between teachers and I'll call you Patrick in front of students of course.''

I nodded. Patrick wasn't my actual name but boy did it sound good coming out of those lovely lips.

Aunt Katie cleared her throat, tutting at my dazed expression, ''I have a meeting to attend so I will leave you to it. Good luck. And you,''

she whispered in my ear, '' behave .''

Oh I will , I thought to myself. My gaze followed Alex. He was flicking through his notes, deep in concentration.

I couldn't help but think how good he looked whilst doing such a tedious task.

I could get used to this.
