They were officially dating the day after they returned from the beach. He had asked her to be his girlfriend. She had been taken aback though she should have been expecting such. She remembered how he had popped the semi big question. They had been in the water, stomach deep, having the fun of their lives with the waves when he wadded towards her with an intense look in his eyes. She had looked up and seen him, getting lost in the strong morassing intensity of his gaze. He had stopped inches from her.

'Clement?' she had asked him, puzzled. His hands had snaked around her waist, pulling her to him.

'Chloe,' he had told her, 'You are beautiful.' she had been unable to say a thing, captured by the invisible attraction that wrapped around them. 'Your eyes,' he said, 'They are bewitching. It draws me.' She smiled at his words. Her eyes she knew were pretty. Corrine envied it.

'I know,' was her reply.

'Chloe, Chloe, what might I do without you?' he murmured. 'I want you too much Mon Coeur,' he informed her. 'Stay by my side Chloe. Please be mine.' She didn't understand him at first but began to do so after a few seconds of thoughts. She didn't know what to say, confused.

'I don't know what to say to you Clement,' she confessed. He kissed the tip of her cute nose. The gesture brought warmth to her face which made her cutely red, like a juicy tomato.

'Say yes Chloe, be my girlfriend, my woman, mine,' he coerced her, kissing her neck. Pleasure was hers as dizziness washed over hers. The delight that his magical tongue was conjuring made her heady. 'Say yes Chloe, say yes,' he repeated as he caressed her neck with his lips.

'Yes,' she answered. 'Yes I agree,' she said again. He smiled then finally kissed her lips. Heat sizzled to life in her. Her body grew hot and aroused, with need. She moaned softly as he devoured her mouth, possessing her lips, her heart and her soul in that moment.

Now, she was his and he was hers, her man. He clung to her as if she would change her mind and disappear, crawl into some hole. He called her every possible moment of the day that she wondered if he really did work at all for he was perpetually on the phone with her. The only time he wasn't on the damn phone was when he was physically present with her. He was always at each of her performance. Most times, he treated her to lunch after her sessions. She never declined because it allowed them to talk, know more of each other. She knew that his full name was Clement Ugwu. He was Twenty-eight years old. He was from Enugu state. His favorite food was Beans and corn pottage. His favorite colour was green, the same shade with her eyes. On that, she wondered if he had lied but didn't actually care. She knew that he was a good lawyer who ran a popular law firm. She also knew that he knew her late father. They didn't really dwell upon that.

After lunch, he normally offered to take her home in his car. In the beginning, she had always turned him down. But as they drew closer, she learned to accept. When they arrived, they normally did nothing other than kiss and grope, none desiring to go more than that in a car.
