Chapter 9 - CHAPTER EIGHT...

When I woke up the next morning it took me sometime to realize that I wasn't at my parent's pack anymore but at Vladimir's. I sighed and got up to take a quick shower there was no morning run today because I wasn't familiar with my surrounding just yet I didn't want to get lost. Entering into the bathroom I finally got a good look at it. Considering how tired I was last night I didn't really take full notice of the bathroom. It was really beautiful, it had an oval spacious bath that was so huge you needed to climb a few steps to get into it. I couldn't really go for a nice bath in it seeing as I was very hungry so I decided to take a quick shower in the all glass corner shower.

After getting dressed in a blue dress shirt yeah, I do wear blue a lot it's my favorite color. I contemplated going to get something to eat since I hadn't eaten anything except for the breakfast I ate before coming here yesterday. I had been too tired to eat yesterday when I arrived.

My stomach rumbled for the third time since I woke up, I had no other option but to leave my room in search of the kitchen. I vaguely remembered Henry showing it to me when he showed me around yesterday but my mind was barely there anymore. I only hoped I remembered it.

I checked the time on my phone and saw that it was 8 so there might not be anyone around yet. Since I didn't see anyone around yesterday, I might just be able to sneak out quickly get some food and come back to my room. I didn't even know why I was sneaking around I just wasn't ready to meet anyone yet.

Opening my room door, I looked around the hallway trying to figure out which path we had come through yesterday. I couldn't quiet remember so I just followed my gut and took my left towards the stairs. I went down the flight of stairs and found myself in another hallway. I wandered for a bit till I reached a dead end. So much for following my gut. Now I really wished I had paid attention to Henry yesterday when he tried showing me around, I wouldn't be in this situation if I did.

As I was about to turn to retrace my steps back to my room and hope I didn't die from hunger, a door to my right opened and a girl stepped out. She had long wavy brown hair which came down to her waist and blue eyes that where still heavily clouded with sleep. I was sure she just woke up.

"Hi, I'm sure you're Gianna. Henry told me about you I'm sorry I wasn't around to welcome you to our pack yesterday I was at the other pack house attending to some pack work ". I smiled at her.

"Don't worry about it. Grace right " I just assumed that she was Henry's mate.

"It's Gracie, I'm Henry's mate. What are you doing here I mean your room is in the other wing " she quickly tied her hair into a messy bun using a black scrunchie around her wrist?

"Well I kind of got lost while looking for the kitchen" I said shyly. My stomach chose that moment to rumble again embarrassing me.

"I understand the pack house is large even I got lost when we first moved ". We both laughed.

"Well I'll gladly take you to the kitchen since that is where I'm headed for my morning coffee it helps me stay awake ". I smiled and followed her to the kitchen.

***

"That's hilarious I can't believe she would do that to him ". I laughed hysterically before taking a sip of my coffee. The back of my ears was hurting from laughing too much.

It turns out that Vladimir can be fun when he wasn't being a dick her words not mine. Gracie was telling me all about the funny pranks that Josephine Vladimir's sister pulled on him when they were younger. I really can't wait to meet her.

We were having so much fun that it actually took my mind off the fact that Vladimir was going to arrive today and anytime soon. So, when I heard someone clearing their throat, I turned to see Vladimir standing there with a familiar scowl on his lips that I'm beginning to think is a permanent look on him. My laughter immediately dried up.

Gracie must have noticed the tension because she tried to make small talks.

"So, Vlad how was the meeting". He immediately looked at me and with his ever-present scowl he walked away muttering a quick 'excuse me' to no one in particular.

It hurt that he didn't even bother to ask me if I was settled in just fine. He just walked away without even a hello. I sighed and immediately pushed the thought of him out of my mind I didn't want to get angry right now. So, I simply dug into my food. Who the hell does he think he is.

Oh wait he is the Alpha.

My fork slipped from my hands my appetite having dried up. I wondered how we were going to live with each other if he wasn't even going to speak to me.

"So, would you like a tour around the Pack house to avoid a repeat of this morning, goodness knows where next you might wander to". I laughed. She swiftly changed the topic not what I was expecting might I add. We were going to be very good friends I could see that.
