Chapter 67 - I welcome you all to the Soaring Star Academy!

Noah wished he didn't but he couldn't really control himself. When it came to the memories of his past life triggered, especially that of 'her', his body seemed to grow a mind of its own.

He didn't know what his Pseudo-Intent was about. Only that it possessed indomitable might and an overwhelming amount of sharpness to it.

The stage rocked as the 10 meter radius hole seemed to damage its structure but he didn't focus on that. Noah was a killer, but he wasn't a mindless killer. He wouldn't kill someone for the sake of it, especially when they had no fault in the matter. She had merely fought back, the memories produced were probably not her fault anyways.

Luckily, he spotted her at her platform, drenched in sweat as her knees gave in while she shivered in fear. He knew for a fact that if whoever acted hadn't intervened and teleported her away, she would dead at the moment, literally reduced to ashes.

Elaine knew this too, which was why her fear was quite enormous. Still, she wondered what he had seen, that would make him blow up like that.

The participants also wondered the same, goose bumps appearing on their skin as they stared at the hole in the middle of the stage. They knew, for a fact, that they could have died too in Elaine's place. Emery also had his eyes narrowed as he looked at that hole.

The audience on the outside were even more dumbfounded because this was the second time that Noah had utilized Pseudo-Intent! And this time, his strength didn't reduce! He still stayed at the 6th level of the Intermediate Stage, the range of the attack had been smaller but it didn't matter. This was a feature only those at the peak of the Adept Stage had access to!

"Noah is decided as the winner of the battle." Oliver Wright's voice reached the ears of the participants and made them nod, subconsciously.

"I'm sorry about that." The transmigrator said, bowing slightly as he apologized. He was at fault so he felt no shame in apologizing. Plus he knew that events like this could possibly become traumatic experiences for the fighter. After all, not everyone faced death with a brave front.

"I-It's okay." Elaine forced a smile and stood up. "It's my loss."

"Hmm." He nodded and turned around to his platform while the number 2 to appeared above his head.

The rest of the event went smoothly. And the 6 hours that were assigned to the third phase of the Soaring Star Academy's Entrance Exam soon passed.

"I suppose congratulations are in order." Oliver Wright wore a bright smile as he appeared in person before the participants. His mere presence, now before them, almost forced the 200 participants to their knees, with only some faring better than the rest. They were shocked in the fact that he had managed to appear before them in a way that seemed like he had been there a long time. Maybe that was the truth. "Every one of you is now a formal student of my Soaring Star Academy. I trust you know the basics of my academy. There is nothing like noble standings among my students. I don't care if you're part of a Major or Minor House, once inside my academy, expect no help or shortcuts from your families. The only resources you'll get are those you earn with your own hard work.

As I said before, the distribution of resources will be based on your rank. The students ranked 1 to 10 will be given mansions within the Core region of the residential area with thrice the density of Essence than the outside world, equipped with training rooms that depend on the owner's preferences. Those ranked 11 to 50 will be given apartments within the Inner region with twice the density. 51 to 200 will be given apartments within the Outer region with 1.5 the density of the outside world.

Rank 1 will be given a chance to choose 3 Battle arts and 3 natural treasures from the Academy's treasury. Rank 2 will choose 2 Battle arts and natural treasures and the Rank 3 will choose a Battle art and natural treasure. Those ranked 4 to 20 will be given a chance to choose either a Battle art or natural treasure. 21 to 200 will only be given a natural treasure.

Don't worry, those at the bottom are not irredeemable. Within the academy, you can challenge one another once a week, if the challenger wins, he/she gains his/her opponent's rank but if he/she loses you get taken down a rank. And these aren't the only ways to gain treasures.

Within the Academy, there will be a payment system called Credits that can be used to buy whatever interests you and these can be gained via missions and missions alone."

The students heard this and digested the information given to them. Those at the lower ranks could only grunt in dissatisfaction but barely let it show on their face, they had entered the academy at least. Every other thing could be dealt with later.

"What about the teaching facility." Noah spoke, staring directly at Oliver even if his eyes felt like he were staring at the bare sun itself.

"Ho." The Principal smiled with interest as he stared at the transmigrator. "Our teachings are of course free. But… if you wish to obtain more personal tutoring that will have to be paid for with Credits."

A frown appeared on the Half-dragon's lips as he heard this. But it was only for a moment. He didn't care if he had to work before he could gain some teachings, it only delayed his plans. That was all.

But even if it was for a moment, Oliver could still catch onto that momentary muscle change. "Don't worry. There will of course be Credits given to those who deserve them. The Rank 1 will earn 1000 Credits per month, with the credits decreasing by 10 every rank till the 100th Ranked student. And this will also be given to the students monthly." He then clapped his hand and a strange Essence covered the students before they were all teleported onto the stage before the audience who watched over them on the outside. "I welcome you all to the Soaring Star Academy! Class starts next week!"
