Chapter 68 - Vice Principal

"It's nice to finally see you again, Noah." Luke moved like a blur the moment Noah walked in through the door, engulfing him in a hug and making the transmigrator's heart soften, even if it was just a bit.

"Me too." Noah didn't hug back but his words were enough to make the man smile in satisfaction before releasing him from his grip.

"You've really surpassed our expectations." Aina revealed a motherly smile as she hugged him before kissing him lightly on the cheek. "Come, it's already noon. Let's get something to eat."

Leonel watched all this from the side and pouted. "It seems to me that I've been replaced. Such betrayal, and from my parents too!"

Luke glanced at his son and smiled, though not one that reached his eyes. "I also seem to remember a certain boy who wished to obtain the attention of girls during his exams."

The boy shivered in fright and smiled awkwardly. "If only we knew who that was. Hurry guys, the food will get cold." Not daring to stay under his dad's threatening gaze any longer, he ushered his parents to the dining room, hoping to use the food as a distraction.

Aina saw this and chuckled while Noah's lips curved up slightly into a small smile. "Don't mind him, let's get something to eat."

Noah had to admit, he had really missed Aina's cooking. His half-assed camp like cooking methods weren't up to taste, even the food he had been served at the Maine mansion. The transmigrator almost moaned in pleasure as he ate the food with much gusto.

The Norton family watched this with a smile, knowing that the boy had probably not eaten proper food in a while.

"So Noah, what are your plans at the academy." Luke asked while his knife cut at a piece of meat before he pointed it at the transmigrator.

"Hmm. My first course of action would be finding someone who can tutor me on the manipulation of Essence. The next would be gathering Battle arts that can aid me, my top priority being space type ones."

"Leonel?"

The boy shrugged, not taking his attention from the food once. "I'll just follow Noah's lead. Wherever he goes, I go."

"Such little ambition." Aina shook her head while faintly smiling. "I'll be trusting you to take care of him, Noah."

The transmigrator nodded. "Of course."

Leonel was his sworn brother, he would always protect and guide him. Noah would make sure to squeeze every resource he could gather from the Soaring Star academy. He would lay the foundation for his rise within the world of Maest there.

Noah was a pretty stoic person when he wanted to, and he was never really into the detail and design of things around him. But he knew he was standing before the most grand building before him, the details of such a building overwhelmed even he, who had travelled a wide span of countries while on Earth. A mix of the ancient designs while also releasing a modern feel. He had to admit, the buildings here were really magnificent.

At the moment, all 200 newly admitted students stood the admin building within the Soaring Star Academy. It was the day before the resumption of the academy, the day they would settle into their dorms and excitement filled the faces of most that were present.

Suddenly, Noah and a few others with decent sensitivity towards Essence glanced up, just in time for a figure to appear above them. She was a beautiful woman possessing black hair and silver colored eyes, with a body that most men would die for. Noah possessed extreme control over his body, which was why he was able to regulate the rising heat that built up within his body upon seeing her. But no other male had this ability, so their faces could only burn red as they remained stunned by her beauty, even Emery wasn't exempted from this. Some of the females even joined them!

The transmigrator sighed as he witnessed Leonel and Damien instantly develop a crush on the unknown newcomer. But he knew who she was. The Vice principal of the Soaring Star Academy, and the only other woman within the kingdom publicly known for possessing the Space affinity. 'I can only wish the woman before me isn't too stern, she is my only hope at mastering my Space Essence,'

Emilia disregarded the heated looks that the majority of the students gave her and tapped her fingers on the air. Immediately, the students felt a sense of weightlessness overcome them as they began floating in the sky.

Noah noticed she had barely utilized her Essence nor had she executed any sort of Battle art. The most apt way of putting it would be her making use of her authority over space to allow the students gain the ability to fly.

"The building before you is the Administrative Building of the Soaring Star Academy. Students who wish to partake on missions will have to come here to register for those missions, you can also come here to exchange items of value into Credits." Emilia spoke calmly, allowing her soft but monotonous voice reach the ear of the students. "By your right are the training facilities of the academy, students from the 11th rank below can come here to utilize the training rooms, but you can also use your Credits to rent the higher level rooms with sparring partners and an increased Essence density level. Of course, if your friends at the top 10 are nice enough, they can also allow you into their abodes, but only for four hours

By your left are the teaching facilities where your lectures will be at. The basic classes such as the Essence Beast knowledge classes, Battle art classes and the rest will be free, but specific classes such as Essence manipulation or tutoring on your specific Battle arts will have to be paid for. You can also hire mentors who will take all this on a much higher level, they'll be quite cheap since you all are still Year ones but you have to pick the right ones since the amount of Credits to pay them could still be overwhelming to have more than two.

And before you is the Residential area of the academy. You will be given tokens to your rooms, input a bit of your Essence so it will be bonded to you, with that you will be able to access your rooms."

With a snap of her fingers, the students felt the space before them warp before a hexagonal metal slate the size of their palm appear before them. They followed her instructions and released a bit of their Essence into the slate, immediately after they could feel a strand of Essence leading them somewhere, most probably their rooms.

"I wish you all good luck." After hearing her voice, they immediately appeared before their respective rooms and houses.

Noah stared at the large three story building before him, then at Emery standing before the building beside his and walked in. He then smiled in satisfaction as he felt the major increase in the density of the ambient Essence around him. "Let's see how I far I go within this academy."
