Chapter 51 - Flowing Partial Embodiment

Flowing Partial Embodiment. It was a martial skill Noah had managed to create during his travels meant to tackle the major con of the actual Embodiment skill, which was that it strained his body too much. So as shown before, Partial Embodiment only made a part of his body embody the essence of his Martial art.

Flowing Partial Embodiment allowed Noah to seamlessly switch between body parts to embody. He would still tire easily while using this but, at least, he would last longer than using the original Embodiment.

"Hu." Letting out a breath, the transmigrator smiled as his legs expanded, a clear indication of the execution of Partial Embodiment. He proceeded to raise his legs as if kicking at the air but at the next moment, Noah disappeared from his position and reappeared beside the ape, landing a kick on the beast and sending it flying a few meters backwards.

"ROAARRR!!!" With a yell, the ape began its own attack. It charged forward while its burly arms erupted in flames that coated its skin before it began its attack.

At that moment, Noah's legs deflated back to their original size while his arms inflated. His swords disappeared as he rose his fists up and rushed to meet the ape with Dragon Steps. The beast unleashed a barrage of punches immediately he was in range but the transmigrator already had a counter in store. "Slithering Dragon." His feet turned abruptly many times as he deftly dodged and redirected the attacks.

"Dragon Fist!" His legs once more reduced to their original sizes while his arms inflated as he launched an uppercut at the ape's chin. A faint breaking sound was released as the beast was sent flying upwards but Noah wasn't done yet.

His fist shot forward before abruptly stopping and returning an inch backwards before he punched out once more, releasing a wave of condensed air that hit the beast squarely on its abdomen. "Dragon Cannon." It wasn't as powerful as when he had done it during the soul battle but it wasn't weak in any way as it managed to cause the beast to cough up blood due to an obviously damaged interior organs plus it served its job by keeping the ape in the air.

Leonel was smart enough to act as he saw this. Releasing a bright light he executed Shooting Star and arrived before the disoriented ape and attacked with his spear. "Stellar Arc!" With a slash of his spear's blade a deep gash appeared across its chest.

"Electrify!" Mona pointed at the falling beast and executed her Battle Art making the ape feel a familiar inability to move.

"Good."

Noah nodded in satisfaction and summoned one of his longswords before assuming a stance. A familiar swirl of Essence appeared over the blade of his sword as he prepared Drill Thrust. But it seemed the mysterious boost given to the ape had increased its resistance to lightning. It was able to snap out of Mona's Battle Art and part its lips to launch a ball of fire at Noah from its maw.

The transmigrator clicked his tongue and executed Flicker to appear above the beast but it seemed to have been expecting him. With a swing of its large arms, it smacked at Noah, making him widened his eyes in surprise as he quickly rose his arms to block the attack.

But against an attack originating from a Pseudo Adept Stage beast, it was no surprise that the most he could do was reduce the damage taken by his body and was still sent flying.

"Urgh."

Noah groaned as he felt multiple bones break as he crashed into the ground. Sitting up while wincing, he sent a glance towards Leonel and the siblings as a way to tell them not to worry. "Fuck." A curse inevitably left his lips as he stared at the ape that had already stood up. He was now sure that whatever that crimson aura was, it was not only boosting the ape's power but also its intelligence. "Seems that I don't have a choice."

He glanced at the trio and gave them a nod before standing up despite his aching body. "Dragon's Vitality." It didn't help much since most of the damage he took in were internal but it was able to at least reduce the pain. "Azure Dragon Art: Embodiment." Immediately, Noah's body grew in size as he shot from 5ft 3' to being 6 feet tall with an extremely burly body.

With a roar, the ape charged forward with its fire coated fists. Its lips parted once more as it launched a large fire ball from its maw but Noah was quick to activating his Silver Dragon Eyes to perceive the numerous weak points of the attack before launching his Dragon Cannon to redirect the attack.

The two fists clashed releasing an explosion as they did. Noah stepped back after the clash, making the ground concave with every step he took, using the chance to mitigate the force behind the ape's punch. The beast, on the other, had no need to do this and immediately attacked once more.

The transmigrator side stepped, using his palm to redirect the attack which caused the ape to become disoriented and bend to the side. He then coated his sword with Essence, executing the Gale Sword and slashing multiple times at its side.

Blood sprayed out from the wound and made the beast roar in anger and pain. It dashed away, hoping to gain some breathing space but Leonel judged this at the right time to attack once more. He appeared once more around the beast, swinging his spear at it.

The ape roared and swung its arm aiming at the annoying human that sought to injure it once more. Unfortunately for the beast, Mona had already launched her signature Electrify Battle skill. So its actions paused as the lightning hit it, making its fur release the familiar burning smell.

That pause was enough for Leonel and Damien. The two attacked the other side of the monster's waist, making it roar once more in pain before breaking out of the Electrify skill effect and jumping backwards.

'The effect of Mona's skill is decreasing as time passes. We need to find a way to end the fight soon.' Noah's brows creased as his mind worked to produce a plan. But he soon stopped as he spotted the expression on the ape's face. It was the expression of someone who wanted to end things soon.

He and the ape would end the fight with their next moves.
