The receptionist only shook his head with a wry smile as he watched this. He wasn't shocked about the turn of events and walked over to Noah, his hands tinkered with the badge in his hands making it shine before showing a copper color. "Would you like to keep on going?"
Noah contemplated for a while hearing this. He had broken through to the Level 6 Novice Stage after the arduous battle against Rax. If he, as a Level 5 Novice Stage Battlesoul master, could defeat a duo with Intermediate Stage strength, then he could obviously defeat people who were still in the Novice Stage. Back then, he had utilized all his strength and threw out all his trump cards.
But now, he couldn't. Because there would be too many people watching him, he couldn't suddenly reveal a strength that none could understand.
Glancing at the 6 people with bronze colored badges attached to their chests and feeling the Peak Novice Stage pressure coming from them, Noah felt hesitant. But suddenly a firm light flashed in his eyes. 'When was I one to back down from difficult fights anyways? Twin Battlesouls or no Twin Battlesouls, I can definitely scale levels and still defeat them!'. He glanced forward as a rarely seen fighting spirit was exuded from his body. His hands rose as he pointed to the lean man in the middle. "Let's continue."
The man who was called out, wasn't as incensed as the former opponent. He walked out calmly with his hand on the hilt of his sword. He had already seen what the 'dwarf' before him was capable of and would not underestimate him. A bright light appeared behind him as his Battlesoul flashed into existence. It was an emerald colored sword that seemed to be made by extremely concentrated wind.
Noah felt his opponent's aura and confirmed that he was indeed at the peak of Level 9 Novice Stage. The Battlesoul behind the man seemed to be of the Noble Grade judging from its brilliance, it was surprising that someone of such a Grade was here. He could already tell that this wouldn't be an easy battle. "Hmmph." Yet feeling this only made the transmigrator's fighting spirit only grow stronger.
A bright light engulfed the crowd causing most of them to shield their eyes. When they could finally bear with it, they were shocked to see a resplendent Battlesoul proudly displaying its brilliance.
An Emperor Grade Battlesoul! The crowd were shocked to see this. The massive sword floated silently behind Noah, letting its khaki colored energy cover his sword as he prepared for battle. His muscles tensed as he got ready for the battle, activating the Azure Dragon Art at a level low enough to not strain his muscles.
In truth, he would rather not show off his Battlesoul's grade but he didn't know of any techniques that existed to disguise one's Battlesoul.
The Bronze rank Mercenary feeling this aura grew even more wary as he held his sword tightly. They both stood in silence for a while before jumping into action.
Noah immediately dashed forward, becoming a blur as he executed the Dragon Steps.
The lean man, though, stayed back as he got into a battle stance and thrust his sword forward at the empty air. Wind Needles! At his execution, three emerald colored Essence projectiles were released from the tip of his sword and were launched at the approaching enemy.
Redirection! Watching these attacks, Noah only coated his sword with Essence as he controlled his muscles to swerve to the side. His sword moved as its blade met with the first and second Needle-like wind and deflected them to the side, he then exerted force on his toes and dodged to the side, moving away from the direction of the last Needle. The Redirection art proved its dominance once more as he used it to easily deal with the attacks, unfortunately the assailant Rax had been too strong for him so he couldn't use it against him. After all, the Redirection art was still a trick in the end, in front of absolute strength, such tricks would be broken apart.
Seeing the 'dwarf' deal with his attack, the lean man creased his brows. He quickly jumped back to avoid the fast approaching Noah and thrust out once more. Needle Stream!
Suddenly multiple Needle-like projectiles appeared and flew towards Noah, crossing multiple meters in the blink of an eye. The transmigrator's brows creased watching the multiple attacks.
He cursed inwardly as hated the fact he couldn't launch long ranged attacks. This was a feature only available to Intermediate Stage Battlesoul masters who had fully created their Essence Veins. Peak Novice Stage Battlesoul masters could also use this feature as they had created 99% of their Essence Veins, only that it consumed more Essence than usual.
The inability to use long ranged attacks really limited his arsenal. That feature would really be helpful as the Gale Sword was actually a long ranged attack but he couldn't use it because of his low Level.
Azure Dragon Art: Slithering Dragon
Noah's entire body tensed as he abruptly moved his body around, twisting around like a snake and dodging the attacks that rained on him. The Slithering Dragon move was a combination of the Dragon Steps and Redirection, involving the precise control of the muscle that both moves boasted of.
Of course it was impossible to dodge everything, wounds still appeared on Noah's body but those only appeared on non-vital spots on his body, there weren't enough to reduce his Battle strength.
The lean man could see some drops of blood sliding down Noah's fingers but he wasn't really happy about hitting him because he knew that he hadn't caused a lot of damage.
"Hehe." The transmigrator spat out some blood and smiled calmly as he looked at his opponent. It was one of the rare smiles that graced his lips but unlike the few kind ones he had when with the Norton's, this one radiated pure fighting spirit.
