Noah dashed through the forest with anticipation in his eyes. His speed was neither too fast nor too slow. He didn't appear in a rush at all. This was because of a simple reason.
On his way, it had been way too easy to acquire the map leading to the Ruins and had noticed the presence of multiple people passing by him with frenzied speed. Their role in this Ruin exploration was obvious yet they didn't know it themselves. They were responsible for clearing the path to the Ruins and it was guaranteed that most of them would lose their lives doing it.
It was obvious that the real experts didn't wish to lower their Battle strength by wasting their energy on stray Essence beasts that were in the vicinity.
Noah saw this and took no action. Seeing this people so easily manipulated caused him to feel some slight disgust but he would never help them. It was the way of life. Some people were just born with the fate of being someone else's toy. Seeing the scene of multiple dead bodies in the floor, Noah only felt his drive for strength becoming deeper, only with strength could he live his life freely.
Suddenly, Noah tilted his head to the side. Missing him by a centimeter, a dagger lodged itself into the tree behind him.
Before he could do anything, 6 men jumped out of the shadows to attack, their various Battlesouls flashing into existence. All of them possessed strength at the peak of the Novice Stage. They smiled with malevolence, their weapons drawn out only to be faced with Noah's calm eyes. And then,...
... He disappeared.
Their eyes widened. In shock, they could barely react as Noah appeared behind them, with his sword dancing around their bodies. They fell to the ground moments later, their eyes lifeless. That one moment was enough to kill them.
Noah smiled with satisfaction, not in the least bit concerned about the dead bodies. Now that his Flicker could teleport him around 10 meters, he truly was a Hybrid type Battlesoul master, a cross of the Assault and Agility type.
As for the dead people, they must be one of the mercenaries who knew him but wanted to try their luck. After all, a lot of people were stationed at the branch whenever he wanted to collect his mission reward.
He adjusted his breath then continued his way to the Ruins, this time he rushed forward with a much faster speed, but not at his fastest as he wished to conserve his Essence.
It didn't take long to reach the Ruins. It was placed at the edge of a high mountain. Staring at the large palace that exuded majesty despite its partially destroyed body. Imagining the power required to destroy such a building, Noah felt a shiver in his spine.
The gates to the palace was opened. And multiple people had already jumped in to test their luck but most groups stood outside as if waiting for the lesser people to clear the road.
Noticing him, they all had visible glints in their eyes. Even Ivan showed hidden surprise.
Noah, on the other hand, wasted no time as he got there. He immediately walked into the gate, surprising some people. His action caused multiple of the groups to be uncomfortable, as they knew his strength well. Seeing him walk inside, they also rallied their men and walked into the palace. Even Ivan moved his team.
Noah didn't give a shit about what his presence caused. He was fascinated to know that, he had walked into another world! This transfer was very discreet but although he was a low level Battlesoul master, he possessed the Spatial affinity and could tell. This meant that the owner of the palace was indeed a Grandmaster Stage Battlesoul master!!! This transfer was good as Noah felt that Exalt Stage Battlesoul masters would not be able to join in the hunt for treasures. So as long as Noah avoided all Adept Stage Battlesoul masters, he would be safe in the palace.
He passed by the halls of the great palace to see the corpses of both humans and beasts. Sometimes he would notice some Fiend corpse. Seeing this, he instinctively increased his guard. Knowing the goals of the people here, Noah simply followed the sounds of roars and steels clashing knowing that that would lead him to the treasures he sought.
Soon after, he walked into a large room where the battles originated from. He could see waves of beasts launching themselves at the group of Battlesoul masters and the treasures behind them.
Yet Noah didn't jump in. The reason was simple; the levels of the treasures we're too low. With the Silver Dragon Eyes, he could easily see that the weapons here were merely Rank 3 or 4. Although that grade was high for normal Battlesoul masters, it was too small. Who in their right mind would assume that a mighty Grandmaster Stage Battlesoul master would possess weapons at the low Rank 3 or 4?
Noah simply glanced at the group of weapons lying on the rack before sighing. This was still better than nothing, in truth, using anything higher than Rank 3 would be useless in his hands as Rank 4 weapons needed Intent to drive them, something only Exalt Stage Battlesoul masters could possess.
He slightly adjusted his posture before setting his eyes on the weapons. With a flash, Noah dashed forward as his Blood essence circulated in his body. He slipped past battles with extreme precision, driving his Swerving Snake Dance of the Flood Python Art to the max. He reached the end of the hall were an Adept Stage Beast lay on guard to protect the treasures but he didn't even glance at it.
Void Steps Battle technique: First Step, Flicker!
Noah disappeared before the confused eyes of the beast and appeared behind it but he didn't bother fighting the monster and just used his World ring to keep the treasures he fancied. Of course, he would not take everything, he couldn't even if he wanted to as his ring didn't have enough space. His World ring was by no means small in size, rather there were a little too much treasures. So Noah only kept Rank 3 and 4 armor and sword type treasures, only around 20 items appeared within his World ring. He would keep the ones he liked and sell the ones he didn't need. And since everyone there were still focused on killing the beasts here and because he didn't spend more than 2 seconds in the area, nobody noticed his figure taking a little out of the piece of meat they were fighting for.
After this, Noah retreated to the back of the battle lines with his eyes fixated on a corner of the room where no fighting reached. It seemed like an empty area but his Silver Dragon Eyes spoke a different story.
