Sick?
Jordan has no idea. All he knew... a man was just seen fine just passing by the table. Then why can he be sick?
It's really strange, strange for Jordan.
"Josh, do something. Help me bring him into my car," Jordan asked, who was ignored by Josh. His ears suddenly went deaf as if he didn't care about Jordan's words at all!
Is Josh truly deaf? Jordan pondered.
The man staring at a television screen, oblivious to Jordan's shock on his shoulder. As if no one is disturbed if someone is injured inside the cafe.
"Josh, for God's sake, you're insane. You're ignoring me, do you think his life has no value?" Jordan was extremely irritated by Josh. Continue to concentrate solely on the television screen.
After a while, Josh responded to Jordan, "He's— already dead. You call an ambulance and tell them to take the body of the family member who is lying on the floor."
Jordan exclaimed when Josh told him. Is that man dead? Is Josh making this up? A man who had fallen on the floor a moment ago was still exhaling.
"You are being ridiculous," Jordan said.
Josh returned and replied, "No. Try touching his wrist and hand with it. He no longer needs his body, so spirit inside body, leave him. Perhaps his body do not give convenience anymore."
Jordan couldn't believe it, at a time like this, Josh was still able to joke with him?
Finally, exasperated, Jordan pulled out his cell phone and started calling someone. He called a hospital and asked to come to the cafe. As he called, Jordan tried to feel the wrist of the man who was still lying on the floor.
"How are things, sir?" asked the voice on the other line. There was sweat dripping from Jordan's forehead, falling on the man's shirt. Suddenly Jordan's face paled, even whiter than a cotton swab.
"That...wh-why can't I feel this man's heartbeat...." Jordan's hands were shaking, the phone in his grip would almost drop if he didn't try to brace himself. Jordan was kneeling on the floor, one hand calling someone, the other holding a man's wrist, he slowly glanced at Josh who was not at all bothered by what was happening.
'This is impossible, does Josh really know that this man's life cannot be saved? But . . . how could it be so coincidental?' Jordan thought he couldn't believe what he had just experienced.
"Hello, sir?" A woman's voice on the phone alerted Jordan that he was still talking to the hospital. This is ridiculous! It can't all be just a coincidence!
"Ah, yes, sorry. I . . . can't feel this man's heartbeat. Can you guys hurry over to the cafe on Oneway St?" Jordan said to the woman on the phone. One hand was still holding the man's hand. Cold sweat started to drip down Jordan's forehead, his throat felt dry, his chest pounding erratically.
"Okay, we'll be right there. You can explain when we arrive at the location," answered the hospital woman, then not long after the call was cut off.
Jordan sits down limp, inching back, dragging his ass, then leaning on the body table cashier made from foundation rocks marble. He couldn't believe what had just happened.
First, he never knew where the man came from, and when he sat at the table behind him. While Jordan himself had been in the cafe for almost an hour and a half, it was only him and Josh—he remembered—before this strange tragedy occurred.
Then the second... the man was there when the dream catcher on the door rang a few times. He had thought someone had gone inside, and Josh, who had been busy with baseball on television, answered simply. When he turned his head… Bam! The man is behind him!
Strange
Very strange!
"Josh, Josh!" Jordan screams at Josh from the lower table.
Josh only responded with a mumbled, "Hmm?"
"There's going to be an ambulance coming," Jordan told Josh.
Yeah, just take it. I don't want my cafe to stink with sinners like that guy. " Josh answered in a very flat tone in a voice that sounded deep and deep. while Josh's eyes were still burning bright red!
In front of Josh, a hazy silhouette of a woman's body began to form, more and more, more and more real.
"Diego...." The woman was already in front of Josh. She stroked Josh's face with her jet black hair and a plump body wrapped in a long dress the color of her long hair. Surprisingly, Jordan didn't hear anything when this woman arrived inside the cafe.
"Iris, you came." Josh spoke quietly. That's when Jordan realized that Josh was talking to someone, but he could only hear Josh's voice without any other voices following.
"Josh? Who are you talking to? " Jordan asked. Jordan shifted his position, then looked up. He couldn't see clearly, only Josh's back was visible from under the table.
Diego, that human can't see me. Have you got a new home? "Are you comfortable?" The pale-faced beauty asked in a seductive, sensual tone, brushing Josh's face with her index finger. Blood-red fingernails traced his forehead and nose, then stopped at Josh's lips. Josh took the woman's finger and sucked it. The woman bit her lower lip.
"Diego... your new body is too clean?" tease the woman.
"Hm, is a legion not allowed to occupy a new clean house?" Josh replied. While Jordan was still eavesdropping, he looked confused. Was Josh on the phone or something?
Jordan decided to stand up. The woman disappeared.
"Josh?"
Josh turned, "Yes."
"You just finished calling?" Jordan saw no movement other than Josh's standing position, which was still the same as before.
"Nothing?" Josh answered nonchalantly, then turned his attention back to the television.
Not long after, the ambulance from the hospital that Jordan had called earlier arrived. They immediately entered the cafe with some medical equipment, checking the condition of the man whose body was still on the floor.
The man is dead!
"Sorry, this man is dead," said one of the male nurses.
Jordan widened his eyes and replied, "Am I late?"
Josh said disapprovingly, "Just get the body out of the cafe." It's just going to be bad luck! "
Jordan had never heard Josh speak so curtly before. But this time it was completely different, like two different people.
"Josh, what's wrong with you?" Jordan asked.
