I don't know what's been going on recently. It's all a blur at this point. Somehow it always ends up with me, Jackson and Adrian. I'm not sure what they have against each other but they just won't stop competing in everything. For example, a few days ago during P.E, we were having a race competition and as I came and sat on the bleachers, they spotted me, glared at each other, and then ran faster than they did that day with my food. It was supposed to be a relay race but they just took over the whole race. As expected they ended up in a tie as they have with everything else. I had a pretty late class today so I left school when it was dark outside. My house wasn't far away from the school so instead of calling my driver to pick me up I decided to walk. Besides a good walk will help me clear my mind about everything going on. I messaged my driver that I won't need him today and started walking. Since the blackouts recently, only a few street lights were on so it was hard to navigate but I had walked home before so I was able to go in the right direction. About 10 minutes away from my house, I had a weird uneasy feeling. You know that sixth sense of women that someone is watching them. I turned around and looked and there was a tall man a few feet away from me. Being a girl I immediately was on alert and started walking a little faster. And sure enough, to prove that he was following me his speed also increased. Now I was scared. Though I had imagined a million scenes like these I was never really prepared for one. At this point, I was almost running and he wasn't walking either. I went into panic mode and decided to call for help. I took out my phone and dialed the first number I saw. Jackson. He wouldn't pick up. I kept calling him as I was shaking, but he wasn't picking up. Finally, the man caught up to me and grabbed my wrist. I was terrified and tried escaping his grasp but it was to no avail. As a final attempt, I screamed for help. "MINA!" I heard from behind me. I had never been happier to hear my name before. I was even happier to see that it was Adrian. He ran towards me and kicked the guy making him fall to the ground, and his grip loosening. I broke free from his grip. The man got up and ran away as fast as he could. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Adrian said looking worried as he scanned my body. "Y- yes I'm fine but the guy. We need to catch him," I said still scared. "Don't worry I saw you from a distance and called the police before I called you. They will catch him. After everything was resolved with the police, Adrian said with a comforting smile, "Come on I'll walk you home,". As we were walking down the street I got a message from Jackson.
Jackson: "WHY DID YOU CALL SO MANY TIMES? ARE YOU OKAY? WHAT'S WRONG?"
I shut my phone off. He was never there for me when I needed him even now. "Who's that?" asked Adrian. "Oh...It's Jackson. I called him multiple times when I was being chased by the man but he didn't pick up...." I said with a hurt look. "Oh....well next time you're in trouble try calling me. I'll answer. I'll be by your side as long as you need me,"
