He didn't respond, so I said, "Your son is depressed because you neglected him and were uncaring toward him. This occurs to a child when his or her parents fail to show them any affection. He is no longer speaking to anyone or reacting to anything; it looks as if he is dead."
He shook his head and said, "It's impossible, I can't believe it," then smacked his palms on his brow and squatted slowly. He appeared really sad and worried, so I attempted to soothe him by patting him on the back. "I also got busy this week because of the ceremony preparation and neglected him too, so it's not only your fault, and I will be responsible for that and correct it."
He looked up to me " we are late how can we correct it , can he even get treated ?"
"Don't worry, husband, you are married to a well-known psychiatrist, and I had an experience with this case before, so Julian can be treated."
"Since when do you work?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.
Oh, I forgot that I wasn't in my modern life, and no one would believe what I was saying. They already think I am crazy person daisy have already told me about the maids who whispered that behind me always while I thought that they see me as sexy and beautiful woman. Now I am wondering how Amon will perceive me. In order to stop him from starting his investigations, I made the decision to say nothing and to pretend that I am busy and must go. "Enough questions, sir; just believe me and my process, and you'll see," I said as I hurried to the room. Thank goodness he didn't follow me.
Afterwards, I went to lunch with Julian, who seemed to be reacting a little bit better than in the morning, which made me glad. Even though this boy is not my son, I genuinely care about him and don't want him to ever feel alone or lost. Then I went to my room early so I could prepare the entire treatment plan for Julian. Amon also needed to be included, and I knew well I would suffer more with him. But this was all for my adorable boy. I also prepared a journal that I made myself in which I would record Julian's whole examination as well as his daily development.
We spent the last days at the mansions together, and I've been seeing Amon more than myself in the mirror because I've included him in the whole Julian treatment plan, eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner together, and taking Julian to his bed before he sleeps. We've played games together, but this man was much more serious about it. He played it with all his heart, criticizing every wrong move from Julian while getting death stares and scolding from me. I always tell him he is a child let him live, let him win but he doesn't understand that. Aside from that, he maintained his long face, when I told him to give the child more praise so he can feel more confident in himself, he said forcefully, "Good job." Despite all of his hardness, but I will push him to smile more.
I too noticed that Julian started to get better. As I questioned Dillon and the maids around him, they said that he had started to sleep for longer periods of time as opposed to before, when he would sleep for only four hours and stay awake all night. He also has a larger appetite now than when I first noticed his depression; all of this indicates that he is slowly recovering. I am taking my time with his treatment since there is no medication to give him that exists in this period, although I would still treat him naturally using the family therapy technique even if there were. Moreover, he is making every effort to win Amon over and gain his favor.
We took a stroll in the garden today before sitting down at the table to have tea and pastries.
I looked at Amon and remarked, "Today's weather appears extremely wonderful, and the breeze helps me feel more refreshed," before gesturing with my eyes toward Julian so he could talk to him.
He stuttered, "Yes, it's excellent," and then said, "How about you, Julian?" "Do you like it?"
Julian answered, "Yeah."
"Tell me, Julian, are you having pain in any part of your body?" I asked.
I was relieved when he said, "No, I don't," as it means that the treatment plan is working effectively because another symptom has gone. "That's excellent," I said as I turned to face him and Amon. We then resumed eating in silence.
"Julian, there's something for you," I said, signaling with my hand for Leola to bring it over.
Amon and Julian both looked at the bike and at me with amazement as Leola delivered it. Julian remarked, "I don't need this," before turning to continue drinking his tea.
I held his hand and asked, "Would you just consider it as a late present for all the birthdays I missed while I wasn't around."
"Well, I'll do that," he responded after pulling his arms close to his chest. This child plays as hard as his father does. He gets up and walks over to the bicycle, where he spends some time analyzing it.
"Are you certain you want to bring this item?" Amon questioned, "Won't he be tired playing with it?"
"Don't worry, honey, it will be beneficial for him. He has to engage in physical activity, which will aid in the treatment of his depression."
I went to Julian, who was touching the whole bicycle like it was his first time seeing it, so I asked him, "Do you like it?" He responded, "I don't know how to ride it."
"Don't worry, Amon will teach you how to ride it." But he looked at me shocked and shaken his head. I asked with a jolt, "Wait, don't tell me you don't know how to ride it." I looked at him, then at everyone else, but they all went silent, filling the air with awkwardness.
"Actually, your grace, no one knows how to ride it, since you are in a noble family, most of them go out in a carriage; this is our first time seeing a bike with pedals and similar-sized wheels; even the one who made it told me it was his first time seeing this design. " Leola admitted
"Really, to this point, wow, I am amazed. However, it's no problem for me; I will teach you and your dad." Then I looked at Amon, raising my eyebrows and rolling my eyes, teasing him.
"Really, your grace, do you know how to ride it? when did you learn it?" Daisy asked.
"Your duchess is an expert. She can do everything. Just watch me."
I raised my dress and tied it up to ride the bike, as I set on it, Leola started nagging me, "Your grace, didn't we talk about the etiquette of raising the dress in public?"
" Leola, believe me, there is no time for that. Let's have fun for now." Then I continued instructing them "Look, you need to put a leg on this pedal and one on the ground. Once you give yourself a push with it and start going, put it in the other pedal, look at me." I said that and then began cycling in the garden, screaming, "Yay, are you seeing this guys, isn't this fun?!" as they were clapping and shouting, "You are great, your grace ".
I came back to Julian and said, "Now, it's your turn, sweetie; let's do it slowly, step by step." I kept holding him and assisting him until I saw that he could take control of the bike, then I let him go and ride it by himself; he was a really fast learner. I went back to stand by Amon's side, who was watching him. "Do you want me to teach you?" I asked him.
"No, thank you," he responded. I started laughing at his comment, and when I noticed Julian smiling and the wind taking his hair back as he was riding, I became so overjoyed that tears welled up in my eyes.
"What is wrong?" Amon glanced at my face and inquired.
"I feel like he is alive again; he is finally smiling back, can't you see?" His smile is really precious, and we should protect it at all costs. "
After a while, he responded, "Sure, we will."
We ate dinner after returning to the mansion, then we escorted Julian to his room. Once he fell asleep, Amon and I stood by the window and watched the sky.
"It's so beautiful, look how the sky is so clear today and the stars are shining so brightly. I wonder if the outside world is also as beautiful as this." I said.
"Would you like to see it?"
"yes!"
"Then we will go out after the ceremony day."
I turned back to him and held his hand, surprised by his statement , "Are you serious?"
"Yes, I promise."
"You shouldn't go back on your words. Let's do a pinky promise to confirm it."
I took his hand and we made a pinky promise together, saying, "I'll be waiting for that day, and if you break your word, you'll be struck by lightning, ok?" He then agreed with what I said as we both chuckled.
