Chapter 2 - Clara Pick Up

That night Smith was with Clara. Clara was a little uncomfortable with Smith's arrival. Herman asked Clara to study together. Clara was forced to take a book to study with Smith.

It so happened that Clara took a math book. And indeed there was a question that Clara had not had time to answer, because for her it was quite a difficult question.

Smith opened the book.

"This one hasn't been answered, Clar?" asked Smith.

"If there is no answer, it means it hasn't been answered. That's all it is," answered Mosa curtly.

Smith smiled faintly. "Yes, I want to help you, you still remember this formula, right?" he asked.

"No need! I'll answer it myself," Mosa refused.

"No need for later if you can now, right?" replied Smith.

Clara just glared at Smith.

"Here!" invite Smith. He then explained to Clara.

Clara was starting to notice, albeit in annoyance. Clara was amazed by Smith being able to solve a problem that was indeed quite difficult for her.

"Well, I see. Do you understand?" asked Smith.

"Hmm," said Clara curtly.

"Let me give you a question similar to this," said Smith.

"I said no! You just go home!" expel Clara.

"Why did I even get kicked out?"

"You've been at my house too long, Smith. It's getting late too, so you just go home! You weren't invited here," Clara said.

"I already told you that I was invited by your father. It didn't come suddenly, yes, I followed you this afternoon but it turns out you stayed," said Smith.

"If you don't want to go home, it's up to you, I'll just go in now," Clara said and got up.

"Wait, Clar!" Smith was Clara's hand.

"What else?" asked Clara.

"You've got gum on your arm," said Smith.

Clara turned. He felt ashamed. Smith then took the gum and showed it to Clara.

"Hey. You're lying, aren't you! The feeling is that there's no gum here. Don't try to embarrass me, Smith! Get out of here! Get out of here!" Clara looks so angry, that she even pulled Smith's hand to want to leave the house.

Herman who heard the commotion in front of the house then approached the two. "What's this again?"

"I don't want him here anymore, Dad. He'd better get out of here. I want to rest, it's getting late," Clara said curtly.

"Sorry, Sir. If I made Clara uncomfortable. But honestly, I just came here to apologize to Clara. Clar, I hope you will forgive me, okay! Starting tomorrow we will be as usual! between us," Smith pleaded before Herman.

"Clar, you better forgive each other! He told my dad too. It wasn't a big mistake. Unless you like him. So that could be a big mistake. Or do we like him, Clar?" Herman asked.

"What is this dad talking about? That's not true. I just don't like friends who lie. Or anyone who lies I don't like. You already know that," Clara replied with a frown.

"Yes, the point is that you forgive him or not? I don't like it when my son becomes vindictive like that," said Herman.

Clara didn't move and thought of something.

"How's it going, Clar?" asked Smith.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Next time don't repeat something like that! I don't like being lied to," said Clara.

Smith smiled in relief, finally, Clara was willing to forgive him.

"Oh yeah. How about I pick you up tomorrow? Sir, can I pick up Clara tomorrow?" asked Smith.

"Oh, okay. Can you, Clar?" said Herman.

"No. I'll just take public transportation," said Clara.

"All right, go with Smith! Smith, starting tomorrow you pick up Clara, okay!" Herman orders.

"Daddy!" Clara shouted.

"Smith, now you can go home!" Herman ordered.

"Thank you, Sir. I'm going to pick up Clara tomorrow and make sure that Clara gets to school and gets back home safely," said Smith.

The next day, Smith had picked up Clara. But Clara was still reluctant to ride with Smith.

"Why did you have to pick me up? Looks like you've been working with my father, huh!" asked Clara.

"No. I just said that last night. But your father immediately agreed. Yes, it is according to my parents' orders I must follow him. You must also follow! Now come on up here!" invite Smith.

Clara put on a sour face.

"Smile, Clar! If your smile is really beautiful, you know," said Smith.

"You don't have to! I'm really ugly. So you better keep quiet. Just today you pick me up, I'll just take public transportation when I get home," explained Clara.

"Your father said I had to pick you up. So I had to follow your father's directions, Clar. I can't refuse, especially since she's as beautiful as you. I don't want you to be around other men," said Smith.

"Who are you? I can take good care of myself. I'll just keep my distance from you," replied Clara.

"Clar, if we argue too long we might be late. Come on up!" Smith ordered then pulled Clara's hand over the bike.

Clara was forced to ride the motorbike. She then rides with a boy she initially likes, but now irritates her.

Not until the school gates, does Clara ask to come down. But Smith also did not stop the vehicle. He continued to drive until he entered the school parking lot.

Many eyes fixed on the two of them together. It made Clara feel uncomfortable.

As soon as Clara could get away from Smith so that not many people would see her.

Ayla, who happened to have just arrived and saw Clara coming with Smith, immediately approached Clara.

"Clar, are you with Smith? You weren't angry yesterday, were you? But how can you go together? Or maybe…" Ayla speculated.

"Shut up, Ay! This is all because Smith and my father seem to be working together. That's why Smith was able to pick him up. And later he'll be escorted home. I just want to run away! But don't tell me, okay?" Clara orders.

"Working together how, Clar?" asked Ayla.

"Smith secretly came to the house yesterday. He kept talking to my dad for whatever reason. And my dad could immediately tell Smith to pick me up. I wouldn't feel comfortable being around Smith," said Clara.

Ayla just smirked.
