Chapter 11 - Why I'm giving up—IX

Kika knocked on Luke's door. While she was out he returned to the mansion.

"Who the hell is it?"

"I-it's Kika."

She pressed her eyes shut, embarrassed by her stuttering. Was she becoming afraid of this cheating bastard now? She had long gotten rid of the blonde hair and blue eyes that had stirred up obsessive emotions within him.

But stepping into his living space without much confidence that he'll look at her despite wearing barely anything, her confidence level was still zero.

She wished it was really like Mallory's. Not just dye and contacts. Is Melody's image still so vivid in his mind?

Luke barely glanced up at her as she walked in and shut the door behind her but when he did, his eyes lingered for a while before he returned his gaze to his phone. Kika took short steps. She wore no slippers so they made no noise while she made her way over to him.

Luke wouldn't deny he was surprised by her pushing his hands away and sitting on his lap.

"What is the meaning of this Kika?"

Luke didn't look at her. He just focused on his phone. She scowled at the little object that could easily get his attention but not her no matter how desperately she tried to.

She garnered the confidence to pull his phone out of his hand and place it on the coffee table to his left, she leaned forward and put her arms around his neck.

He stared into her eyes and then looked away. She scowled. This wasn't working. She didn't have any lingerie more sultry than this one. He reached for his phone again and she moved it completely out of his grasp.

"Kika don't take my silence for gra—"

"Luke..."

She unbuttoned his shirt halfway and slid her arms underneath till it had encircled his back.

"...Do you really find me arousing in any way?"

He gave up trying to get his phone from the coffee table.

"No, I don't."

"But all the other girls you sleep with probably didn't even dress as provocative as I did today?"

Kika tipped her head back a bit to look at his face. He was not smiling.

"And?"

Her confidence was wavering again. Her lower lip trembled.

"But—"

"But if you're so impatient, I could imagine you're a blonde girl and..."

His eyes passed her head and moved down to her glutes. They looked plush and round.

"...do it."

Kika pulled away her hands that were in contact with his bare skin.

"You're lying. If you really don't find me sexually attractive at all then how come Bloom is here."

Luke laughed while taking her distracted advance to retrieve his phone but he didn't return his attention to it just yet.

"Kika, don't be delusional, okay?"

He yanked her towards him with such force that they almost kissed on impact. His nails bit into the skin forcibly wrapping her forearms and keeping her in the locked position he put her in.

"That day I was heartbroken that Melody was getting engaged to my cousin, you happened to be there to cheer me up but I think you misunderstood something. Did you really think I bedded you because I thought you were sexy or something?"

"Do you want to know what was going through my head that day?"

He added just to spite her and watch her skin boil. He didn't have time for her incessant questioning today. She should have figured that he was part of the scum of the earth by now. Good. She should use the door then.

The nails bit harder into Kika's soft skin and she bit on her lower lip to prevent tears from welling up in her eyes. His irises turned to slits and flashed red while he talked. Maybe he'd finally punctured the epidermis and the faint stench of iron loomed in the air whilst a drop of blood prepared to sleep out.

Luke's fangs popped out sluggishly and he reduced the pressure in his grip just a bit.

"Don't flatter yourself too much. If you want something like that from me then continue to be a blonde-haired like you did last time."

He pushed her off of him with a sudden jerk and she fell on the cold tiles.

"Why did you cheat on me again? You're not even the least considerate about your daughter!"

Kika straightened herself and her flawless facial features contorted into a disappointed glare.

Luke didn't like where this conversation was going. He's already thrown her off, so isn't this the part where she leaves?

He sighed and replied by deleting Mallory's chat and blocking it then he moved to the chat box with a new girl he met at the bar of Kika's hotel. Another blonde-haired girl with blue eyes.

"I didn't think you want to my playthings like them, right? I kept my distance from you and satisfied my desires outside because I actually am considerate, you bitch. Or else you wanted Bloom to grow up and find out that her dad imagined her mum as someone else and that's how she was born..."

He stopped when he saw her stomping out of the room while cleaning her tears.

"Really? That's it? I should have said that earlier if that's all it would take you to leave."
